Edinburgh: What are the living costs in Dubai? ?
I have been offered a job in Dubai in construction on UAD 22,000/mth along with 2 mates we would be working and living together therefore sharing costs.
Accom is not included, we are Irish and have recently graduated - middlle class background/lifestyle - I keep hearing that Dubai is a very expensive city.
Could we enjoy what Dubai has to offer and maybe save a little on this kind of salary??
And regarding socialising, I know drink is available but I am told it is very expensive, here a pint of beer is around UAD 20-25. Should we expect to pay a lot more say, in an average Irish bar??
All help/advice will be much appreciated.... 05 Sep 08, 02:09:33

Edinburgh: How does one move forward from the past?
I always here people say you gotta forget the past and move forward. But however, if the past has put you in a financial disaster and you lost everything due to nothing more than poor decision making and the slow economy. Then it is damn near impossible to move out from under your past. Or say you lost your job, home, car, pets and are now sleeping on a family member's couch and can't find a job that pay's more than 5 bucks an hour. Then tell me how can you forget the past and move forward when your broke and forced now to start learning a new career since the construction industry you've been in for 15 years is now gone. You'de love to move ahead, but unfortunately tod... 04 Sep 08, 09:09:57

From 1989 to 1996 I received my basic education at school ( Primary and Middle school) in Santa Ana. Along this time, I discovered my ability to draw and design. I remember when I used to built houses using cardboard just for fun, or draw by hand quick sketches of floor plans, elevations, etc. At this time, I didn’t have no idea how these kind of drawings were called. When I was in 5th grade I won a two contests about the matter in my school; and felt attracted to more difficult challenges concerning to design. This encouraged m... 04 Sep 08, 06:09:40
