Edinburgh: Need advice for studying?
First of all, I'm studying towards Vet Nursing for captive animals. I've applied for 2 courses. My Certificate in Animal care & Vet Nursing, and the Certificate in Animal Management - Captive Wild Animals.
Now, I've already planned to do them both as well as my Diploma in Vet Nursing, Certificate in Companion Animal Services (Of which I'm already doing the cat strand) for dog, small animals, aquatic and birds so I'm well rounded.
Thing is, we have a dog who we don't take very good care of as we both work full time and don't get much time to spend with her. We're thinking of getting her a decent family, which will be unbelievably hard, or, wi... 29 Aug 08, 08:08:42
Edinburgh: McDonalds.. Could it help me out????
I'm moving to france for a year very soon and desperately need a part time job whilst there.
Theres a mcdonalds near the french town where I'll be.. what are the chances of them hiring me for a while? It'd be great because I'm a fluent english speaker and have catering experience. But I'm reluctant to go them and ask, doesn't it seem a little rude?

Edinburgh: employers obligations in reducing hours?
Hi folks,
I'm wanting to cut down my hours at work from full time to part time to go back into education, i work for a reasonably large company and they have a lot of staff. Obviously coming up to september they have had a fair few requests off me and a number of other colluges to cut down the hours to go back into education.
Although i gave them a reasonable ammount of notice that i was wanting this change implemented, and this was 'pretty much' verbally agreed to. They have stated that they may not be able to cater for this anymore and that this will have to be reviewed for them to come to a descion, as to who will be able to and who will not be allowed this.

Edinburgh: Who thinks Bill Clinton's speech cost Obama the election?
He said his candidate(Billary) who he supported didn't win, but that we should vote for Obama. He spoke more of her presence in the campaign then Obama. In fact, he has previously said he doesn't think Obama would be a good president. Now he wants us to vote for him, but doesn't say why. Just to unify the democratic party? How many of Hillary's support base is going to go for this. A good percentage of them are going to vote for McCain, and after that speech quite a few more will too. Obama is definitely showing his inexperience. Poor VP running mate choice, letting Bill speak, no foreign policy strategy other than catering to the enemy, no military experience, and poor s... 28 Aug 08, 03:08:21
