Edinburgh: What is wrong with what people call beauty today?
Just because I have a round face and messed up teeth that means I am ugly?? Just because I am not a size 00 that means I am chubby?? Because I don't like to wear makeup that makes me ugly??
I mean yes I have flaws, just like everyone else but I don't think I am ugly or chubby. I like what I see in the mirror...
I know people can be mean on the internet because they don't know you... but I mean even if people do think I am ugly what gives them the right to say lol im sorry but its not that u have a round face. its that u have no chin definition, which is kind of unchangebale, not like a nose job.
or 'Im not saying you're egregiously overweig... 10 Oct 08, 10:10:05
Edinburgh: what should she do?????
My mom is 45, and she is a hairdresser, but she works very little and earns not much. She and her husband(my dad) are having arguments and the only thing that keeps her attached to him is money, because he earns the income in our family. I want her to go to college (she kinda does too) to have a normal and stable carreer and be independent. What kind of job requires no more than 2-3 years of college and pays well at the same time? (at least $40,000 a year, she has me (i work) and my brother who is 11). Anything in the medical field? Office job maybe? Her english is kinda sorta understandable but she needs to have more experience but i know she will make it. She has a high school diploma and ... 09 Oct 08, 07:10:04
Edinburgh: HELP. hope I didn't permanently damage myself! what should I do?
ok so to give you all an understanding of the situation ill give some details. im a 21 year old female. i never did anything overly strenuous during my childhood and teen years except take dance lessons. but I only took a couple of lessons a week and they kept me in great shape. I did however get into the habit of wearing high heels practically every day during my high school years. i evetually gave up that habit when I graduated high school and enrolled in beauty school and took up a waitressing job at night. i was on my feet all day between being a beauty school student during the day and a waitress at night. so i grew accustomed to always wearing sneakers. I continued waitressing even aft... 09 Oct 08, 05:10:36

Edinburgh: Help choosing a haircut!?
so i found the hair dye job that i want, now i just gotta pick a cut that i want. right now my hair is plain dark brown (no highlights or anything) and cut kinda like this without the bangs and about this length http://www.beauty-and-the-bath.com/image...
i really want to keep growing my hair, but it's very fine and doesn't really do much at all. i read online that for people with fine hair, short cuts work best cuz it gives your hair more volume and depth. i really like this cut but it's soooo short! http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/0/Z/n/Elis... i also have a more oval face and don't know if this would work. what do you think i should do? keep it growing or get it all ch... 08 Oct 08, 06:10:48
Edinburgh: What do you think of the royal family? and do you like them?
Most of people in where I live seem to do not like the royal-family, especially my bf, he hate the royal family. he finds that the royal family eat the food and spending their luxury life? from the money of population's tax? the duty they do also the easy job that everyone could do, for example fly to this and those places for the party and travel? they look like the traditional decoration of each country? each of the trip they fly? are from the tax we paid? my bf also said that most of the ugly women in the world are the princesses, their character look like the stupid old woman and beauty also in the old style. especially in royal family in arab and southern america countries, like t... 08 Oct 08, 09:10:38
Edinburgh: How can anyone be feminist and work in the entertainment industry?
I live in LA and was purusing an acting career when I decided it wasn't for me- despite my love of theatre.
I started to look at the parts I played and auditioned for and how they were objectifying women. How the commericials seeked to make women feel insecure and pushing a beauty ideal.
There is so much sexism in the entertainment industry. Women have less parts offered to them (esp. if they are older and not thin), the ones they are offered are deragatory, and women get paid much less than men in entertainment!!
Why don't female actors, (the small precent that are rich and famous, and the struggling majority) understand what they are doing? I cannot tell you how many... 08 Oct 08, 06:10:57
Edinburgh: Religiously speaking, how can I be more like Paris Hilton?
You know, like without the DUI or video thing.
She's famous, pretty, happy and has money, and she didn't even go to college. I'm the exact opposite of her and I'm in college, should I just drop out and just move to California/New York and seek fame, beauty, wealth and happiness?
Elvis was poor when he was little, and so were many successful people, and many of them weren't even pretty *coughs and stares at Amy Winehouse, Flavor Flaaaaaaaav, Clay Aiken, Rumer Willis.* Actually, many of them weren't even talented *thinks of Paris herself, and famous people in reality shows
..or should I just get a job at Marriott?
Awww people, dont me ... 08 Oct 08, 06:10:59
