Dover: Is my husband trying to be scammed with job offer?
My husband who is layed off is looking for employment. He is a very hard worker and hates sitting around to just collect unemployment. He is a hardwood floor installer. He was given a mans name from a friend of an associate. This man asked him to drive to North Carolina from Michigan for a trial run of his capabilities to put out product and run a crew. He had known my husbands previous employer and was impressed that he had been with the company for many years. He would be a lead man.My husband reported to the job site Monday morning. He was told he would be compensated for gas. He was to stay at a pretty nice hotel which has already been paid for by this man (the company). I called to veri... 09 Jan 09, 01:01:10

Dover: Resume? (20 characters)?
I have been nominated for Girls State*
I need to create a resume. My instructions are students should prepare a brief overview of activities and employment, awards and recognitions
I am a highschool junior, never had a job, and want to mention my difficult classes.
How should I format my resume? I've never made one before, so it would be nice if a link to an example was provided.
Thanks in advance!

Dover: What can a landlord reveal about a tenant in a background check?
We have good credit and have never missed a rent payment. However, we are currently applying for a rental at another location so we can be closer to the ocean (we live in Florida).
I have not been a renter very long, and have little knowledge of how the background check system works and what a landlord can actually reveal. If I try to relate it to job background checks, most companies that are called about you will only give dates of employment.
Is it the same process for rentals, or is a landlord allowed to say pretty much whatever they like? Is there anything off limits?... 09 Jan 09, 01:01:41
