Dover: Career Advice - Post Law Degree in UK?
I am studying for a law degree in the UK. Currently in my final year and I just don't know what to do after. I am not keen on the LPC and It would be too late to apply now anyway. I have looked into licensed conveyancing but I was shocked at the salary of £15,000 and average of £30,000 when fully qualified. Although it did state up to £50,000 if you get a 'full' license and practice self-employed or for your own company.
I am interested in land law, landlord & tenant. I also thought about agency law (such as football agent) and aviation law (never studied at all) but have no idea how to get into this.

Dover: Is it possible to borrow money for school and also money to help me live while I go to school?
I live in Michigan and am looking to possibly attend Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology. This school is the 2nd best Aviation Tech school in the nation, but it also costs $30,000 to attend for 20 months. My problem is that I have a mortgage payment and utilities to pay for. This school is 5 days a week 8 hours a day, for 20 months straight, no time off except weekends. It is about 45 minutes from my home, so obviously this leaves little room to work full-time. My question is, can I borrow the monies needed for school, plus an additional $20,000 to help me live while going to school? I work in an aviation production work environment with men, half prior military, half locals who either worked their way up through experience or vocational certifications. I am male myself and we all pass the time by cutting on eachother. everyone dishes it out everyone takes it, that's just the way it goes. Dover: Can I get a loan for an out of state college for about 100,000?
I'm in need of advice! I want to major in air traffic control, but it is not available in my state! I really wanted to go to alaska to study ATC( 3rd best school for aviation technology). Can I get a loan to get out of new jersey and go to alaska to get my degree? Tuition would be almost $100,000 !!! I would need that full loan....now after looking at all this I have another few questions..

Is it really worth it going to college for four years to make 70,000-136,000 annually ( after graduating) and have to pay a 100,000 loan??

How long would I have to pay the loan off?!?!?

I just graduated from BCIT. Have a diploma in AME(M). Been looking for a job for about 2 months now and can't seem to find any. I know the aviation industry worldwide isn't doing too well....but i know it's not worse than after 911. Anybody know the specific details for the aviation industry right now?? How bad?? Dover: Hi, about being a pilot?
Hi, i would like to be an airline pilot but my dad keeps on telling me to be either an air traffic controller or to go in to a different profession altogether? I do not want a job outside of aviation and i would only be an air traffic controller to save up for pilot licences? Being a pilot is all i want to do, but my dad keeps telling me the training to become an airline pilot can cost thousands of pounds but it is likely to only take a few years to pay it all off once you are at a major airline. What do you think i should do.

Dover: World recession:becoming a pilot?
I`m in my final year of school and have been planning on becoming a pilot but after seeing lots of established airlines going bust and thousands of experienced pilots now without a job I am starting to feel that it would be idiotic of me and I would be throwing my money away if I was to go to flight school only afterwards to find out that there`s no jobs.I`m just wondering what anybody who has knowledge of the aviation industry thinks I should do?

Dover: What is involved In The RAAF Medical?
Hey All, I am curious as to what is involved in the RAAF medical. More specifically, what color blind test do they use? I am able to pass just about every color blind test apart from the Ishihara Plate test. I don't know why this is. According to the defence jobs web site, I need to pass an Aviation Class 1 medical, is this the same as the CASA medical?
