Dover: 2 job offers in the same day!??!?
this is unbelievable, I was laid off from my job last april and I could not find another job as an electronic technician. Then I went back to school to get certified as a VB.NET developer. I still could not find any work. Meanwhile, I keep sending out my resumes for help desk, tech work and programming and I finally get some interviews.
Today, 2 of those companies called me and both offered me a job. Now I have to choose.
they are both electronic tech jobs.
The 1st company is HUGE. There are over 2000 people there. They fix airplane sensors. My buddy from my old job works there. They have great benifits and it is closer to home than the other job.

Dover: become a pilot ?
im 18, and i have always wanted to be a pilot, but im not sure where you would get started.
what i need to know is what are the requirements to become a pilot? (by the way, im not talking about a commercial airline pilot, i want to fly small planes, like the kind they use for sightseeing tours)
what kind of school would you need to go to?
(do you have to go to collage?, or can can you jsut go to a flight school?)
how long does it take to get your pilots license?
about how long would you spend in flight school?
and how much would it cost?
(i know its not cheap, but i am just asking for an average price range)

hey im gonna gain a commercial pilot training in australia for 1 year including cpl and mulitiengine rating license with the completion of 250 hours so how could i get a job as a co-pilot in best airlines with good income it doesnt matter for me to have a job in india or in any countries....

I have just interviewed for US Airways. not the greatest company in the world but I love the Airlines. all my other jobs other than one have nothing but good things to say about me. I have had an issue with one particular company and I was let go due to an attendance issue. I interviewed and was given a conditional job offer with the conditions just being a background check. my background is crystle clear. do you think that this one negative job will hold me back?...

I am interested in becoming a pilot? any advice?

Dover: How do you get yourself out of a rut (long question)?
I'm just looking for other people's stories about how they managed to recover from mental problems, especially when isolated. I've been previously diagnosed with Tourette's (comorbid with OCD, depression and anxiety), BPD and purging disorder. I've gone through extensive treatment in the past, mostly for Tourette's (meds) and social phobia (CBT) which gets really severe when not being treated, but am currently not taking anything.

Dover: Having a party for my parents but if I get laid off of work?
I am hosting an anniversary party for my parents this October 2009. It will be held at a hotel where they live in Florida. I live in New Jersey. I sent the hotel the deposit and signed the contract. The hotel isn't that strict and needs most of the $ by the summer of 2009. I want to have this party paid for by April. I am still okay at my job. No talks yet of lay offs but it has become very slow. I sent out save the date magnets and have about 38 people and 3 small kids on the guest list.
If I get laid off next month after the company has a big meeting in February then I can't afford the 4000.00 party and can only opt for the dinner and pay 2000.00.
