Dorchester: OB/GYN and Neonatal Surgeon?
Still in high school. I was wondering if an average student who maintains an A- and B+ average could become a Neonatal Surgeon, OB/GYN or a Prenatal Surgeon.
I know I am not an outstanding student grade wise but I am very involved extra curricular activities such as clubs and volunteering. (I don't know if that makes a difference) My strongest subject is Science and English. I love Bio (haven't take chemistry yet) I will be taking AP Bio when I am a senior. The only thing is math isn't my strongest subject. On average I have anywhere from an 80 to 85, but I did terrible my freshman year...I think I had an average in the 70's but I received and 85% on my state exams.

Dorchester: Should I not tell them I have a Bachelor's degree?
I graduated last year with a BA in English Literature and am still trying to find a full time job. Jobs that require less than a Bachelor's degree don't want to hire someone who has one because they think you'll leave when you find something better. Those who do require the degree want years of experience along with it.
I am applying for a job as an administrative assistant at a law school. It's mostly clerical work, helping students register, faxing, answering phones, greeting visitors, etc. I worked at a college doing this kind of work for 6 years. I might just apply for the heck of it...but I know they only accept about 400 or 500 students. I'm 16, currently a sophomore. I am in all of the most advanced classes offered at my school, straight a's except 1 or two b's since 7th grade in just stupid typing classes or something like that. I have takin self taught classes on the computer and even over the summer. I am the only sophomore at my school taking honors pre-calculus, I'm with all juniors. I am involved in about 6 clubs, I have done volunteer work, I am in the process of getting a job and I am willing to work very very hard. Dorchester: I'm strapped for cash & not working, should I buy gifts or what?
I lost my job earlier this year and am fortunate enough to still have some savings to hold me through for at least a few months, but I feel like I have to live really cheaply because the economy's so bad & I really don't know when my next job will come. I've already decided not to get christmas gifts for friends, but there are birthdays and not one, but FIVE pregnancies among very good friends. Dorchester: Insurance options for college student?
I'm going to turn 23 next year and be kicked off of my parent's insurance policy. I will be graduating in May. My school offers a really bad insurance policy, however, I would like a little more coverage. I am currently a 25yr old black female graduate student. i substitute teach and take my classes at night. I am at this large urban high school every day. i like to do my job well and go home peacefully. i am friendly to the staff but not too friendly. lately the administrators have been getting a tad too close for my comfort. I went through high school studying Japanese, playing first chair violin, taking all honors classes, got a 3.6, and got a 1400/1600 on the SATs.
Then I went half way across the country to a university i was barely familiar with (my parents both went there and had always said they wanted a kid to go there, im the youngest and none of my siblings went there so it was sorta up to me). I HATED it. First and foremost, he's a gamer. However, I can't really afford anything over $20 for him. I'm a college student and currently between jobs at that. So, I'm a Junior in High School and I need help, please just straight talk with me. I'm one of the more bright, more mechanically inclined students in my school. Anywho, I would like to go to my community college to knock out my core basics, then transfer to Auburn to major in Mechanical Engineering.
