Dorchester: Hectic last minute college question: Can I get in?!?
Alright, I'm a senior applying to colleges and I'm just stressing the hell out. here are my stats:
GPA: 94.6 out of 100, unweighted. (So like a 3.9 or a 4.0?)
Race: African American
Intended Major: International Relations
Activities: Did 9 drama shows since 9th grade, getting ready for my tenth. I never really got lead roles, though.
Also active in French Club (Treasurer) National Honor Society (Junior rep last year), School Newspaper (sci-tech editor this year, entertainment in 10th grade), And Literary magazine (associate editor last year) I'm doing Jazz band this year, and trying to start a GSA.
I also sing and play guitar, but I dont have much to show for it.

I go to small university in an equally small town. I've been looking for a job for a while, but there's no decent jobs for me here. I've been checking the local newspaper website and another classifieds web site for a while and nothing really has popped up. One okay job I applied to, Books-A-Million, got me no response. Dorchester: Is this a good time to major in business?
Well, with the economy going down the drain, I have my doubts on entering business. I even heard in some UC colleges, they are urging students to switch majors. But, I did hear that it only applies to those who wants to work under large corporations. However, if I don't major in business, then I'm pretty much screwed. I have no other jobs I would like to stick to for a looooong time, because I was planning to OPEN my own business with my cousin, rather than working under one.

I know it seems crazy, but I want to know what skills/jobs are needed in America, cause I really want to live there. I seem to click with American people more than my own nation and some girls love the British accent.
So I am willing to train in a skill to get a work permit over there.

hello my name is adrian sandoval and i live in california. my mom has passed away recently about a year ago, and now that i have turned 18 my dad cannot receive any financial aid. its not so easy finding a job but i am working on it and i attend college.
