Derby: Machinist Mate Weapons Submarine?
I am waiting to go to Basic and then sub school and then A and C school. I was just wondering if anyone has any information about MM (SS) Weapons not auxiliary that can't be found online. My recruiters office has no bubbleheads, so it is hard to find out much about this type of job. I was also wondering how sub life works. I heard it is 18 hour days. Does that mean 6 work 12 watch and then 6 sleep? or is it 6 work 4 watch and 8 sleep? Any help would be nice. Thank you.

Derby: I lost my motivation....?
I have so many plans and dreams, but i lack the drive to pursue them. The only two things that have motivated me all my life was the desire to be the best in my class and love. But my classes have become so difficult and now, i am with people who are a lot smarter than me. Love is not much of a motivation anymore either. I'm in love with someone, but i never see him. We only talk online, but i want to actually be near him. I don't think asking him out again (we went out before) is a good idea because i hate making things awkward. I'm just glad that we're still talking.
Where can i find some more motivation? I don't seem to care about college or my job or my stud... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:25

Derby: Possible deduction Ideas...DJ work related?
Ok, I posted asking about filing my income taxes and all that a little while ago and if you saw that one I have good news since then. If not, what the situation is, is that I am have been a DJ all year and that is my only job. I do it for a nightclub as an independent contractor.
I have some new questions now though. I made a lot of equipment purchases this year. They were all made online. I bought a new laptop to use in dj'ing and built myself an amature home recording studio for making and editing demos complete with a custom desktop computer.
I DID find proof of ALL the significant purchases I made. They are all invoices from either paypal or from the actual merchant. Will my ... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:36

Derby: Should I go to College first or Marine Corp?
Currently I'm a junior in High School. I know for a fact that I'm going to join the military eventually but stuck at the moment. I'm not sure if I want to go to college [University of Houston] and graduate with the NROTC Program and become an officer after wardss, or if I want to become a enlisted marine. Is there any possibility of me going to school via online or campus while I'm enlisted? Which would turn out better? I rather not sit and have a job that pays for hourly wage for 4 years. I'm just wondering what would be better and other information that could help me with this desicion.
I live with a military family so I know what the life style is like. Dad... 05 Dec 08, 12:12:35

Derby: Husband needs Oil Rig Position! Anyone know where to find one??? Help please!?
My husband was working for Bronco Drilling for a few months. They put him through training and everything, but with the economy going to heck, he was laid off due to too many employees, and he was still quite new.
I am trying to find him another position on ANY rig. We live in Utah, and he's willing to commute far, even do offshore rig if need be. But I am unable to find anything online that shows available jobs, they just want fees in order to help me find him a position.
If anyone knows where to go, BESIDES Rigzone.com, please help me! He just needs an entry level position, Roughneck if possible.
Thank so much for any help!... 04 Dec 08, 11:12:23
