Darlington: Why does NASCAR have two races in California?
I live about 20 miles from the track and I think it's so boring, I don't bother to go to the track. Go back to Rockingham or Darlington or something instead of coming out here twice a year. This track is the most boring track on the planet!

Darlington: How could nascar take a race away from Darlington because of low attendance?
Then give it to California and by looking at the fans in the stands, they have no one showing up for a boring race? Why not take a race away from California? Instead they give them a chase race next year.

Darlington: Will Cali ever lose one of its Cup races?
California is the worst track on the circuit in my opinion, and the racing backs that up.
With tracks like Kentucky and Iowa, could we see in the future NASCAR taking a race away fom Cali? Maybe give one back to Darlington that should have never been taken away.

Darlington: What retro paints schemes would you like to see in Nascar?
With it being NASCAR's 60th annv I thought sure we'd see a bunch of retro paint scheme....I am not a Junior fan or hater but I loved the #88 Mountain Dew car at Darlington. So here's my question....if you had it your way what retro sponsor/paint scheme would you like to see on a modern COT? I guess my favorite was the Snickers cars back in the 90's would to see the #18 look like one of those. Tell me what you would like to see.

WHO AM I?
I scored my first and then my last career victory at
Darlington's Southern 500.
While most teams have always been located in the Charlotte area, my early success came with a team from the Piedmont area of NC.
I was considered one of the best road racers going in early 80's
In 1987 I replaced a legendary driver in a then legendary ride but my results were not what the Boss was looking for.
By early 90's it was whispered that I was fast becoming a has-been.
It was hard to find a ride but an old friend hired me to rekindle the past.
But that all changed when a top team needed a sponsor, and I had a sponsor who wanted me to get a better team....it was a deal made over breakfast but I have always been an early riser.
I went on to reclaim my title as a NASCAR star
In the 90's I was constantly seen in Baltimore apparently a
baseball player and I had something in common.
I never enjoyed my retirement...still answer the phones and
race when I want to. Now that's living! Who am I?
