Darlington: Seeking advice on going from full time working mom to part time or being a SAHM.?
My husband and I are talking about me either going part time or being a SAHM. I really want more time with my children. I was initially going to put in my notice to just stay home starting in February, but my younger daughter (she's four) really, really enjoys preschool and said she'd miss going. The one she's in with all of her friends does not offer a part-time option.
I've been working for the same company for 13 years now, and I should have enough seniority to go part time like two other people have done. I could easily be home before my oldest gets off the bus from school, and give my youngest time with her friends in preschool which she loves.

I want to be good for those around me, my friends and family and my partner. I want to be a excellent friend, daughter, girlfriend ... and I feel that in everything I do I am failing at that!

OBERLIN, Ohio — A northern Ohio artist known for envelope-pushing holiday displays is back — with Santa Claus in a wheelchair being pushed down stairs by a crazed tree.
