Darlington: Do you blame the president AND the 544 people in the senate, Congress and supreme court?
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. > Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? > Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes? > It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the f...

Darlington: Husband needs Oil Rig Position! Anyone know where to find one??? Help please!?
My husband was working for Bronco Drilling for a few months. They put him through training and everything, but with the economy going to heck, he was laid off due to too many employees, and he was still quite new. I am trying to find him another position on ANY rig. We live in Utah, and he's willing to commute far, even do offshore rig if need be. But I am unable to find anything online that shows available jobs, they just want fees in order to help me find him a position. If anyone knows where to go, BESIDES Rigzone.com, please help me! He just needs an entry level position, Roughneck if possible. Thank so much for any help!...

Darlington: Do we belong together?
I came out at 22, while he’s known since 12; the differences in our stage of development have been hard for him- like having to go through me coming out to my parents, co-workers and even some friends who don’t know, while also not being totally comfortable with public displays of affection (like at the straight bar). Along with that, Thomas has sewn his wild oats and even been married to a woman and had kids, so he’s ready to settle down; however, Thomas was my first boyfriend and I was totally not ready for “forever” when I met him. Part of me wonders what it would be like to have other experiences- and while I never cheated, I was unfaithful in my heart by having feelings fo...

Darlington: How to get a job with only so many available hours?
I'm in a horrible situation right now - I just had to quit my last job because of a crazy boss and, of course, with the way the economy is no one is hiring. At all. I'm going back out tomorrow to job-hunt for like, the 3rd time but I would like some advice. Here's the deal: I have plenty of job experience. Worked 6 months in a food place (Coldstone) and 3 months at a daycare. I DO still hold my pride heavy and refuse to resort to a McDonalds or Burger King, but I suppose any other place I'll take. Unlike at the daycare though, I'm back to living on my parent's schedule and can only work 4 pm to 9 pm during weekdays, but anytime during weekends. (They drive me...

Darlington: Wife Needs Space and Time...?
I have been married 4 years on 2/26. I have always loved my wife very much and have done a poor job in communicating it to her. We have two children, one is from a previous marriage and the other is my biological child. I love them both very much. I also consider both to my children and if the option of adoption was available I would gladly adopt her. After my wife and I had our child together things changed within our marriage. I began to change the way I behave toward our other daughter. At times I can say I was out of line and mean. It always seemed after I was mean I would ask myself why I acted that way. This caused problems between my wife and I. I am shameful and embarrassed with ...

Darlington: Can I claim unemployment? Is it wrongful termination?
I worked in San Bernardino county in CA for a relatively small firm. About 2 months ago, I let my manager know that I was considering leaving the company. 3 weeks ago, I told her that I decided to stay but she forced me to submit a resignation letter and she implicitly indicated that the job is no longer available. I had to pack up and leave last week. During the exit process, I refused to sign the paperwork which was already prefilled stating I left voluntarily. Does anybody know if I can claim unemployment? Did what my employer do constitute a wrongful termination? If so, would you recommend any lawyer you've worked with on a similar labor case? I submitted the resignati...

Darlington: What do you think???any thoughts?
Okay so I applied for a job about one month and a half ago. The job is in California and I live in Arizona. I got a call 2 weeks ago and the person did a phone interview, he told me that he was going to forward my resume to the manager. So Monday I get a call from the manager. I wasn't able to call him back until Tuesday. He wasn't there so I left a message. Calls me like 5 other times and I wasn't able to answer so yesterday he e-mails. He wants to set up an interview in California for next week. I e-mail him back and let him know that I won't be in California until the following week. He then e-mails back and asks if we can do a phone interview next week. I say yes and ...

Darlington: I moved to the Bremerton / Silverdale area and want to find an enjoyable job. Where should I look?
I recently moved to the Silverdale / Bremerton area from Olympia and am looking to find a job or volunteer opportunity that I will actually enjoy. I am NOT MILITARY so on base volunteer options are not available to me. I simply don't know very many people in the area at this point and need to get out of the house and feel productive. I've been looking on Cragslist, Hot Jobs, etc. but am mostly finding telemarketing and nursing jobs, neither of which I would be interested in. JobVent.com hasn't caught on in the Bremerton area yet so it hasn't been helpful either. I really don't care how much money I would or wouldn't be making at this point as long as I enjoy my ...
