Darlington: Just moved to El Paso,TX and I am looking for construction work at Ft. Bliss but find no job advertisements. ?
I haven't gone full throttle looking for work yet but it's weird that I see all this construction work going on at Ft. Bliss, downtown, and UTEP, but when you look at all the online job websites or even the paper there is not one advertisement for any of these jobs. I even went to talk to two temp agencies, Adecco and Kelly, they told me to let them know if I found out anything because they couldn't get in there either. Can anyone point me in the right direction? If not then I'm just going to have to go on sight with resume in hand....

Darlington: construction worker not on books?
i agreed to take a so called friend out to work on a buckshee basis for a few weeks as a joiner. I run a construction firm on a sole trader basis have 2 labourer, myself joiner, two apprentices. He had just been paid off and thought i would help him out. I have liability and employer insurance for everyone except him he wasn't on the books. He went up on a half built scaffolding after me strictly telling everyone not to until the rest was up. I have witnesses to this. Anyway he had a fall had an operation in his arm but no long term damage. I did the right thing by him and paid him £400 wages for about 8 weeks even though he was only out as favour to him to help him ...

Darlington: Any help on stray dogs and what to do?
Okay, my dad works with a construction job and he feeds a stray dog that used to be beaten by its owner. He's a major animal freak and he always feels soo bad when its super cold. Any advice on what i should tell him? He doesnt want animal control to get ahold of the dog so later it could be put down if it ends up not being adopted....

1) we have a glut of houses already with all the foreclosures...and they want to add to the supply to drive home prices even lower???
