Croydon: Have you felt people look down on you when you get SSD?
I've been on Social Security Disability since last year and this past year I had cancer. I have worked since 1971 and my health has really deteriorated since living in Alaska. I had cancer surgery two times this year along with other medical problems. I've had the flu about 4 times since the surgery but employment specialists from my church keep sending me information on jobs working for the census. Do they honestly think I can go to work this sick or all they just making fun of me?... 05 Dec 08, 05:12:28
Croydon: What kinds of jobs can I hope to get at entry level (or higher) with my experience?
I will be graduating from an 8 month program for Medical billing and coding. I will have learned ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS, office procedures, Microsoft word, filling out insurance claims, etc. (Right now my QPA is 3.82) I also have experience as a licensed practical nurse (home care and nursing home) and non-certified pharmacy technician. I am researching different jobs I could get with this experience. Has anyone worked in these areas? Median pay rates? I am not searching for a job right now, just researching, I'd appreciate any input.... 05 Dec 08, 04:12:01

Croydon: Is it legal for a company to make 5 month late deductions?
I signed up for flex medical and flex daycare, my job started deductions in August, we began school in July and received 2 checks prior. I filled out an enrollment sheet for flex which stated the amount and number of pays the deductions would be spread out under. They emailed me today about something I hadn't noticed, they never started deductions, my flex medical was 500 and flex daycare 5000, they would like to take out 416 per paycheck for the remainder of my contract to June. Is this legal for them to do, it is over 800 per month which is almost a full paycheck for me? I can't afford the deductions of that amount, I agreed to deductions from the beginning.
I hadn't no... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:11
Croydon: What is ****The Birk Economic Recovery Plan****?
Do you think this would work? Why or Why Not?
****The Birk Economic Recovery Plan****
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals
$425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:08

My main goal is to become a doctor, but is it possible to get my bachelor's, and take a couple tests to become a nurse? Then use a part-time job as a nurse to pay off medical school, as well as gain the hospital experience?
Basically, what are the additional requirements to become a nurse, other than the school degree?... 05 Dec 08, 12:12:23
Croydon: Blind, Double Date Help?
Hey everyone. I'm a little nervous for tomorrow. Now, I'm 19 years old, but I've been through a lot of struggles and, in a nutshell, I've had extremely bad luck with women. Talking about this stuff is somewhat embarrassing but I need help, and none of my friends are giving me good advice. Okay so I'll explain some of it, please bear with me and try to help me out;
I have no car. I'm 19 with no car. So what kind of girl would want to date a person with no car? Not many. So I don't even bother a lot of the time to try to get with girls. Now, one of my best friends and his girlfriend (who I'm also good friends with) are trying to set me up with a frien... 05 Dec 08, 12:12:11
Croydon: Can they kick my mother out of the hospital?
She has been there for over three months now. She had a very bad stroke back in the beginning of September. She had a tracheotomy done (which still requires respitory care), is on a feeding tube, and a catheter (I believe.) She is also diabetic. She is paralyzed on her left side. Pretty much, she is bed ridden and cannot take care of herself.
She is ready for discharge into a rehab facility, and then onto long term care because they are pretty positive she won't be able to live on her own again. She has a condition that will cause her to have more strokes in the future. They have had a difficult time finding a bed for her in a facility, I am in the process of getting Medicaid but it&... 05 Dec 08, 12:12:32
