Croydon: Help!! I don't know what do do about my love and career?
It's probably a common story, I had a boyfriend, we broke up, then came back, then I decided to go abroad to study and work. Now that I got my dreamjob, I thought I had forgotten him after 4 years but I miss him horribly, I haven't met someone else and I don't want to go back, and he can't come here just like that, he has his own job back home. What can I do? I just can't forget him, and we're just too far from each other!! Advice??... 09 Jan 09, 07:01:52

Croydon: Where can I find a job on an island, preferably a smaller island, or an at sea fun job?
I want to work on a tropical island or at sea. I have considered the US Virgin Islands and Vieques Island, Puerto Rico but I seemingly can't find much work on indeed.com and virginislandsdailynews.com in these areas anytime I look. Maybe there is a website dedicated to island work I haven't found or maybe you are just supposed to apply the old fashioned way ie. in person.
I am a US citizen so working abroad may be limited unless someone knows of an employer that sponsors workmanship. I have checked into the Oil and Gas industry as I know they have offshore opportunities, but the work is extremely physical and usually requires experience before going offshore.
I have already c... 09 Jan 09, 02:01:33

Croydon: Open university to finish my language degree.. is it any good?
Hi there
I was studying at a red brick uni (French and Spanish) and during the first part of my 3rd year (the year abroad) I was in a crash and had to come home as needed long treatment for my injuries.
The Year abroad is non resitable, however, my university have said they will review my situation in September and I can possibly resit the year, but to be honest I have already skipped a year and I just want to get this degree boxed off so I can move on to getting a job and doing a masters part time....
I have looked into finishing my degree at the Open University.. and I would only need to do one more year they say, which would begin in Feb, meaning in theory my degree would be fini... 08 Jan 09, 05:01:24
