A girl, whom I've known for over five years, is having fairly serious problems. Financial, relationship, and housing problems. Seeing as she broke up with her (ex)fiance, I don't see it becoming a problem. But then it hit me.

Colchester: Psychic question - when will I get a job?
Here is my situation:
I've been unemployed for about a month and a half now. I'm starting to get depressed. I'm wondering when I will be able to FINALLY find myself a steady job? If it's another month or more, am I at least going to work part time or something?
Also, my boyfriend and I have been wanting to move in together (part of the reason why I'm also sad since we just want to be together - we're still both living at our parents house and we're both getting very frustrated as we both don't get along as well with our own families).

Colchester: Do all bosses act like that with employers?
I was hired to a job like two days ago. there are mostly males working. it is a job related with computers and technology. the manager is so weird, i think. when i had the interview, he said that i will check whether the printers have paper, answer the phones and email. when i started the training, they actually make me to program the computers, and make computer( put the parts together). I feel so dumb because i dont know how to do that. and today, he was talking to the guy that teaches me how to do that. we were standing like one foot away from each other. and the manager is like tell her to check the voice mail. come on? i was there like a foot away listening and he couldnt tell me that? ...

Colchester: Ladies, what do you look for when checking online dating profiles?
I've been divorced for a little over a year and a half and have been toying with the idea of subscribing to Yahoo Personals. Created a free profile, uploaded some photos, etc., but haven't made it searchable yet as 1) I'm really not sure this is something I want to do, and B) I'd really like some feedback from folks who don't know me first.

Colchester: Do I have shot at being permanent replacement?
My boss just gave her two weeks notice today, and her boss came and asked if I would be willing to supervise her staff for a stipend. I said it was something I would consider. She then said she would be looking for a replacement because she wanted someone with more experience, and sent out an email to all the staff saying that they would be looking to fill the position after the holidays.
So I guess that means I am out of the running for permanent replacement? Or should I apply when they post job. Maybe if I really prove myself as the temp I will be the new permanent, but maybe I should just keep the status quo and not worry about it.

Colchester: What do I do? I need help?
With zero notice, my common-law husband left me on the weekend. One day we were making plans to go on holiday in a few weeks (we even bought our flights) and the very next day he said he was leaving and less than an hour later he was gone to the airport.
I'm a complete wreck. He was depressed and he had to leave this city (we moved here a year ago). He said he had to move on but he won't say anything other than that. I emailed him once but otherwise haven't heard from him.
