Colchester: How to find a good job, where to start?
I'm 19...and currently employed at a job that is a cleaning and janitorial service. It gets depressing some days, and I just don't feel like doing it any more, I don't like to clean. It was an OK job when I started, but now it's just too tiring any more. But the problem is, any time I look for a job, they are basically looking for cashiers, and stuff like that. But I'm looking for something more than working at a store. I want to do a better job, but I don't really want to go to college to study a career at this time. I'm really good with computers, and web design, and also good with working with pictures. Would love something in that, but have no clue wher... 20 Nov 08, 06:11:15

Colchester: Can I get a job in the video game industry with a degree in business?
I'm finishing up my commerce degree in British Columbia and would love to break into the video game industry. Unfortunately, the only student positions that the companies I've researched (EA Games, for example) are looking for require a degree in computer science. Is there anyone in the industry that knows of a good way to approach this?
As a side, I'm looking into the 12 month Game Art and Design program at VanArts (www.vanarts.com). Would this practical knowledge help me to get a business-related job in the industry?... 20 Nov 08, 03:11:36
Colchester: How to handle this business situation ethically?
You’ve landed your dream job working as a mechanical engineer with Maritel, a company that builds ocean-going transport vessels. Your own contribution, a computer simulation of the movement of kinds of cargo in ships on high seas, has led to important innovations in Maritel’s ship design. It’s made Maritel-built oil tankers especially easier to maneuver.
A shipping magnate in Greece has ordered your firm to build a new fleet of tankers. When he learns that it was you, a woman, who was the engineer whose computer simulation led to the better-designed tankers, he insists that you break the traditional bottle of champagne over the bow of the tanker.
