Chester: Is it possible for a graphic designer with a total mental block for learning web design to actually master it?
I have been in print graphic design for 12 years but was laid off a few months ago. Now I find that there are hardly any print design jobs to even apply to—and that's across the whole country! It seems as if I have no choice but to learn web design if I want to stay in the design field—but I have never been good at it. I am very right brain and am not good with math or coding. Is it actually possible for someone like me to learn it and master it?!!!... 02 Dec 08, 03:12:53

Chester: How long does pain after laser surgery, for retinal vein occlusion, last?
Its been almost a week since my surgery. I have been taking the prescribed medication and still suffering migraine type head pain from my eye. Laying down makes it worse. Is this normal after laser surgery? The doctor had to remove blood vessels that were forming in my eye. I have tried to go to work and continue life as normal, but have only been able to work half days. Thank goodness it is Thanksgiving week and I didn't work for the past few days. My job requires me to read and stare at the computer screen. I do Mechanical and Graphic design. Unfortunately all the professionals in my area, say that I am th worst case of Retinal Vein Occlusion they have seen. I am 38 years old, btw... 29 Nov 08, 10:11:50

I've done my AS levels and I got an A in it (97% overall) and I'm predicted again a high A for my A levels. I'm going on to do an Art Foundation (Pre-Degree) before university.
Is it a hard job to get into? Who could I work for etc etc?
Also, is being a freelance graphic designer well paid, and is this job hard to get into?
Have any of you been to University and got a degree in Graphic Design, or any other art-related subject, but ended up in a totally un-related job?
