I work for an agency of a company (I'm employed by the agency and not the parent company). There is a senior post open which I am going through the selection process for and am at the final interview stage. Things are looking good but I have been told that there is a person that works for the parent company that is desperately wanting the job. He has not had to go through any of the recruiting phases that the other candidates have had to go for. A good source has told me that he and I are the prime candidates for the job. Is this legal?
I am in the UK.

Chelmsford: Where do you stand against illegal immigration?
Where do you stand against Illegal Immigration?
This is an article I found to answer a lot of common myths.
1. It is NOT racist to call these people illegal aliens In fact, illegal aliens is the only term used in federal laws and regulations to describe criminals (and they ARE criminals) who come into our country illegally. They are not illegal immigrants, not undocumented immigrants, not migrant workers, and not day laborers - they're ILLEGAL ALIENS.
2. Mexico is NOT a poor country. By sending its teeming masses to our country, that status keeps on rising. Mexico has more resources per square mile than the U.S. and plenty of money to take care of its own... 02 Dec 08, 05:12:28

Chelmsford: Help with resume suggestions?
I'm currently in my 3rd year in college. Last semester i did an internship at a law firm and i befriended the attorney there. As my internship was coming to an end i asked him if he can provide me with some advice how i can make my resume stronger. So he helped me out which i appreciated. What he wrote was an exaggeration of my work. He revised my resume and wrote things like excellent analytical skills... able to work under pressure,... excellent rapport with people from diverse backgrounds . i mean he makes me sound like i'm the perfect candidate. To be honest i don't think i have excellent analytical skills. I don't think i'm able to work un... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:17

There are many questions to be answered when filing for bankruptcy. Such as, how much does it cost to file for bankruptcy? What property can I keep? Or what will happen to your house or car? Nowadays it costs $160 to file for bankruptcy, whether for one person or a married couple. The court may allow you to pay this filing fee in installments if you cannot pay all at once. If you hire an attorney you will also have to pay the attorney’s fee you agree to. In a chapter 7 case, person can keep all property which the law says is “exempt” from the claims of creditors.
