Chelmsford: Why did he act like such a drama queen?
I asked a guy to be less controlling at work because he was doing my work for me and speaking for me. Other workmates noticed it too, but didn't say anything. We got along OK apart from this, so I was reluctant to bring it up, but he was a colleague and his trying to manage me was donig my head in.
He said he'd change, but he didn't, so I asked two more times to stop doing my work, and he called a private meeting the next day, and went mental at me in a quiet, nasty manner.
He said he couldn't sleep because of me, that I was the worst thing about his perfect job, that his girlfriend who I've never met thinks I'm a bully, and he can't understand why w... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:56

Chelmsford: There a dumb racist at my new job, do I tell how offense she is?
There is a woman originally from Nebraska who is all nice and drops these racist bombs like breathing. I have only worked with her a a day and a half. We had to travel for our job in the same car and I tried to make the best of it. Never in my life have I heard someone calmly say Chinese fire drill when changing drivers in the car. I tried to talk about a neutral subject like getting nails done. She went into still looking for someone good, and then she was recently cut, and the manicurist cut herself too.., Well she's Oriental, and you never know..,Well not cause she's Oriental, but anyone could have anything, and you have to be careful with cuts. And we pas... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:59
Chelmsford: I wanna know how to start a home daycare?
I am going to be laid off from my job sometime in the beginning of 2009. Instead of going out to find another job, I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to find something that will allow me to stay home with my 2 boys. Does anyone here run a home daycare? What are the requirements to start one? Do you have any suggestions or tips that will help me get started quickly (I only have about 2 months to get up and running). Thanks... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:56

Chelmsford: It's official, US in a recession?
The National Bureau of Economic Research said we have been in one for a year now. Don't they go to work everyday wondering if it's there last day? Does anybody know how to get a job at a place, such as the National Bureau of Economic Research, that had no idea we were in a recession? I'm no economist, and apparently they are not either, but I figured this out quite a while ago. So I figure getting a job there should be easy. Anyone know where to apply?... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:34
Chelmsford: AMEX canceled my credit card, seemingly for no reason. Cited two credit checks. What can I do?
So I was recently informed that my AMEX card was canceled. They gave me several reasons, but it doesn't really make sense.
They said it's because I haven't had the card for very long, which is true, I've only had the card for 4 months.
The next reason was because I haven't had a long credit history, which is true because I'm a Canadian immigrant and I've only had a social security number for over a year, but I've been building credit the whole time.
The last reason, which they say is the reason that did it was because I recently purchased a car, and the car company checked my credit twice. They said those credit checks are usually ... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:48

Chelmsford: Foreigners making a living in Japan?
1. What is a good job to get if you're a foreigner living in Japan? I mean, like if you're an overseas student or something. A job that will allow you to sustain yourself and be able to reside in Japan.
2. Where are good, affordable areas around Tokyo to live? Ones that don't mind foreign residents. I know that a lot of places don't like it when foreigners have room mates. Listing places that don't mind this will be of great help.
3. After getting over the culture shock and home sickness of being in a new and mysterious land, how long do you think it would take to actually get used to life in Japan?
Answering in detail and links to useful sites is well appreciat... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:48
