My husband & I are going into our 10th year marriage.2 kids.everything started out like a movie.we were really enjoying the ways of our life until conflicts and unresolved issues got a hold of us .this is let say 3,to 4 years into the marriage. It quickly escalated into him mentally and emotionally abusing me.It was too early for me to quit but I manage to just hang in there. On the outside everything looked great.before I ... 02 Dec 08, 10:12:25
Carlisle: HELP! I really need this job! Is quickbooks difficult to learn? ?
I got some quickbooks tutorials from the library and thought that if I'd read up on it then I could put it on my resume. I put it on my resume and now a company wants me to go in for an interview. I'm pretty good with debits and credits and I've used many other accounting softwares...just not quickbooks.
I've read books on quickbooks and it seems pretty easy...but what should I say when he asks me how much I know about it?
Thank you!!!... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:38
Carlisle: Am I under unholy oppression?
For three years my family has suffered an unbelievable tale, but when I look back at it I realize it truly is unbelievable that it could really have happened like this without being divine punishment.
Since I met my wife and we came together, She lost her business and everything she ever worked for. We bought a house that turned out to be a complete lie and sunk 25G into trying to better it. We moved only to realize the new house was unsuitable. We moved again after being loured into a pretty deal by her lawyer only to find ourselves without option and money and forced to buy said house which at the time wasn't a problem since he convinced my wife to close her then company and com... 02 Dec 08, 05:12:50
Carlisle: home loan pre approval and underwriting help!?
I'm in the process of buying a house with my husband (he's the only one on the loan)....we were pre approved for a VA loan with the automated underwriting system. Our loan is about to go through underwriting and we're suppose to close next week, I'm terrified we'll be denied because we tried to buy a house last year with an FHA loan and got denied the day of closing because the LO jerked us around.I'm very confident with our current loan officer but I cant shake this feeling that we'll be denied(maybe I'm just being negative) We haven't bought a new car,run up our credit, lost a job,ect.....I guess I'm worried because I forgot to pay my credit ... 02 Dec 08, 05:12:29

Carlisle: exaggerated resumes, good or bad?
I'm currently in my 3rd year in college. Last semester i did an internship at a law firm and i befriended the attorney there. As my internship was coming to an end i asked him if he can provide me with some advice how i can make my resume stronger. So he helped me out which i appreciated. What he wrote was an exaggeration of my work.
He revised my resume and wrote things like excellent analytical skills... able to work under pressure,... excellent rapport with people from diverse backgrounds . i mean he makes me sound like i'm the perfect candidate. To be honest i don't think i have excellent analytical skills. I don't think i'm able to wor... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:45
Carlisle: an incredibly long and involved question for opinions?
so, i recently moved in with my boyfriend of only 4 or so months, and tonight i have had a vision, a very distinct idea of how i can really be happy in my life. in it i was living in a bigger city, i believe it was nyc though i've never really been that fond of the city, and i had certain types of friends, a certain type of lover, i was happy and i felt very at peace with myself. the vision was a few years from now, after graduating from college and living on my own. i can't say for sure what job i held, but i know that i felt content, and i felt i had made my life as it was.
its great, i definitely want it to work out, but it makes me feel like i need to start changing things n... 02 Dec 08, 03:12:34
