Cardiff: Will Comptia network+ help me get a job in IT? is it worth it?
Basically I want to know if the course (or any other course) is worth doing. I see a lot of jobs want experience in an IT role first - What are the best things to learn to 'break in'? I'm only looking for entry level or junior positions...

Cardiff: Applying for my first job.. ?
I know this has nothing to do with families or relationships but I know this is one of the most looked at categories so please help me I could really use it right now. Okay, so I'm applying for a job at this ice cream shop and I knew everything except what to put down for: 1. Why do you think you would be a valuable asset to the Baskin-Robbins store staff? 2. Why do you want to work at Baskin-Robbins? 3. What benefit do you expect to derive from working at Baskin-Robbins? I mean, I know what exactly what to say, just not how to say it on paper. So if anyone could help, please do. I'm a people person. I'm responsible. I know how to balance...

Cardiff: I KINDA WANT TO SWITCH MY MAJORS...IS THIS A GOOD PLAN?!?
I'm a first-time freshman in college and am in International Business. The only reason I chose this major is because I'm good at languages and have studied abroad and get along with foreigners and love airplane food etc., but my major has the most requirements (if I learn a language) and I'll probably graduate at least 1 year later than planned because I'm learning my third language and plan to learn two more. I'm great at languages and business, but the truth is that I really prefer marketing...i'm hyper creative (one reason i'm good at languages [and art, cooking, and music...but those are hard to make money with lol]) and always found it so thrilling....

Cardiff: Why do people sabotage you?
I live with a roommate who tries to sabotage me. We both pay rent and work low paying jobs. We're both in the situation but I look younger and was born in America with some college experience; he was born in china and has a lot experience with electronics and computers. The thing I don't get is that why does he resent me? When you look at the big picture everything is equal. Me, my plan is to work 2 jobs, invest in the market and housing, but this would take a life time. It's not like I'm rolling in the dough and getting all these girls. He can do the exact same thing. I even learned spanish and given enough time I could do business in spanish. Basically, I think ...

Cardiff: HELP! I really need this job! Is quickbooks difficult to learn? ?
I got some quickbooks tutorials from the library and thought that if I'd read up on it then I could put it on my resume. I put it on my resume and now a company wants me to go in for an interview. I'm pretty good with debits and credits and I've used many other accounting softwares...just not quickbooks. I've read books on quickbooks and it seems pretty easy...but what should I say when he asks me how much I know about it? Thank you!!!...

Cardiff: What do I do after ive been kicked out of high school?
Ok, ssooo I got kicked out of high school. I have just gotten my g.e.d. and I start college in 3 months. In my town, EVERY store/restaurant only hires 18 years olds and up so I can't get a job to cure my boredom or make money to do things to cure my boredom. I am 17. I live with my mom who is never home, and both of my friends just moved away. I have no girlfriend and I do have a car. What can I do to cure my boredom? I obviously have the internet, but I am getting bored of it. I play the guitar and I am constantly learning new songs but I am looking for something new to get into. I am hoping someone on here can point me into a new direction, give me a few tips to cure boredom, you know...

Cardiff: What is it Like to Be a Clinical Psychologist?
I am a junior in college. I was thinking of law school but now I am geared towards grad school in psychology. I want to get into a PhD program for clinical psychology. What is it like to be a clinical psychologist. How much do they make starting out? What types of employment are there for someone fresh out of grad school with that degree? I just remember going to a psychologist for ADD testing. She charged me $400 for testing so they must make a lot of money? I want a job that is fascinating and gives me an opportunity to study and learn, but at the same time I want to help people. I am really into the whole positive psychology movement so I want to work on changing peop...

Cardiff: Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, College?
I've been looking into a lot of things... Mainly those focused around Sociology, I guess... Anthropology & Philosophy are somethings I'm looking into. I also thought a bit about Journalism... I'm really interested in learning about people in general- How our minds work, why we do what we do, how we evolve... I question everything around me from How do they know that our vocabulary is stored in our temporal lobes? to Basic religious theories... But, my parents think that these aren't realistic subjects to study & that I wouldn't be able to find a decent job. [I'm not sure what they expect from me] I've been r...
