Cardiff: Should i change my major?
Hi there i am currently a junior at CSU fullerton. My major is Public administration. Should i change it to political science. If i do political science i could get out of school two semestes from now. With Public administration i have to do 3 more semesters. My goal is to go to law school, but i will need to get a good job after getting my BA because my parents won't let me stay in their house after i graduate from college. Currently i have a part time job, but it does not pay for much. So will political science get me a better job than a public administration degree. I know that both degrees are not that marketable, but wich one do you think is better?... 03 Dec 08, 09:12:19

'Gingerbread Nazi' Artist Makes Legless Santa Display
Wednesday, December 03, 2008
OBERLIN, Ohio — A northern Ohio artist known for envelope-pushing holiday displays is back — with Santa Claus in a wheelchair being pushed down stairs by a crazed tree.
The Santa in Keith McGuckin's installation at the Oberlin Public Library has no legs because of an accident involving alcohol and some power lines. An accompanying narrative explains that the tree later goes off to a strip club with money from Santa's Salvation Army kettle.
McGuckin's holiday creations have been raising eyebrows for years. His 2006 gingerbread Nazis drew so many complaints he was forced t... 03 Dec 08, 09:12:54
Cardiff: In San Francisco....?
There's legislation by Supervisor Chris Daly to close part of Market Street to motor vehicles and part of the Embarcadero and other city streets to motor vehicles. What are the chances of this happening? Are there any plans to do this? Public transit can't do the job alone.... 03 Dec 08, 08:12:49
Cardiff: Why do business degrees get such a bad rap?
My family is as blue collar as you can get, neither of my parents graduated highschool, and I never learned of business. Terms like initial public offering, stockholder's equity and P/E ratio were unheard of to me. SO when I came to college, I learned about the business school and it excited me. I learned that majors such as finance and accounting led to jobs that were both sought after and well paying. So I became and accounting major, now third year.
Since then, I've herad a lot of criticism of business majors, and not just the generic general managment major. People talk of business majors being joke majors, and one older woman was horrified to learn that I wa... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:31
Cardiff: Mumbai Tragedy ---- Who did it?
Terrorist attack on Mumbai can not be the event done by one group. It looks as a joint effort of many evils with different motives. In my opinion it could be a joint operation of following groups
1)Dons and Gangsters of Mumbai.
2)Jewish Extremists or Secret Service of Israel.
3)Extremist Muslims inside or outside India.
Why!
1)Job of providing arms and maps might be given to some Don or Gangster of Mumbai, as they were most suitable for this job.
2)Jewish Extremists or Secret Service of Israel might be interested in such a thing to put responsibility on Pakistan and to show the whole world that Pakistan is not a responsible/capable country, so Pakistan should not have nuclear weapons.... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:09
Cardiff: Quiet person interested in the Public Health field?
Are there any jobs in Public Health where I can work behind the scenes? I'm a very quiet person, I don't like doing presentations and talking in front of people. I want to get my Masters in Public Health, because I want to prevent disease and promote overall good heath in communities and society. Anything I can do in Public Health that doesn't require a lot of talking? Can I work behind the scenes? ... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:45
Cardiff: Is the Christmas music at your job already annoying you?
I work at a bank and it's blasting over my head. This isn't the mall!
The guy next to me feels obligated to announce the artist and title to every song. And why do people have to sing in public who obviously can't sing. AHHHHHHHHH
Don't get me wrong, I ain't no scrooge. I love x-mas. Like when I'm relaxing, or shopping, but not working!
Bonus question... what's your favorite Christmas song?
Mine is Sleigh Ride... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:23

Cardiff: Xmas vs. Christmas Fiasco!?
I work at a mall at a picture studio where we take seasonal portraits of kids (you know, Santa, tree, presents, all that crap)...
ANYWAY. Half of my job is like, a secretary and I have to make appointments. Instead of writing Christmas on the appointment sheets (that the customers don't see) 1,000 times a day, I wrote Xmas (which should be fine because it's the Greek abbreviation for Christmas.)
When my assistant manager saw it (she's like, a devout Catholic) she yelled at me in front of a customer saying that it's company policy to write Christmas instead of Xmas because it offends customers and especially me.
I called corporate and they said that that isn... 03 Dec 08, 06:12:26
Cardiff: I have a money question for parents?
I'm 18 years old, a freshman at a university, and an only child. My parents make over $100,000 together. My dad makes $80,000 and my mom hates her job so I ask her why doesn't she quit or do a job that would be more fun; like working at a quilt shop which is her passion she says no that she needs to work. They also say that it costs a lot of money to raise a child; like in order to have one child you should make above $100,000. I'm going to school and paying for it by myself and they give me a place to live and pay my insurance/ gas and I take the public transit when I need to; I'm really grateful for this. My question is are they right in saying that it costs that much m... 03 Dec 08, 05:12:01
