Cardiff: college visual arts/ film major?
im about to go to college and im thinking what i want to do with my life...now im a very smart kid and could get into at least 95% of the colleges in USA definately...i saw on the major list on common app that is said performing arts-visual (cinematography/film) what does that entail..what is cinematography...i would love to be like a movie reviewer-which is what i do for my high school paper or something...what would a degree in film from a good school do for me??
please tell me what jobs you know of and what responsibilities hey have...also i dont remorely like school but i would greatly enjoy classes where we analyze movies (if there is such a thing) so is that possible

Cardiff: Is there a way to fast-track A level maths & physics or get into engineering without them?
If you have a bit of background on me, maybe you might be able to suggest something I haven't thought of.
At school I did well in physics (Grade A at GSCE), and maths (didn't get a GCSE though; long story). After school I did film production at college, which was fun, but I couldn't see a career in it. I decided to go down the web technologies route at university as there was a job lined up for me once I completed the course, but I dropped out; I found it rather boring. I've had plenty of time to think about it now and I want to get into engineering.

Cardiff: Do you think I should go for this degree or not? (please read)?
I am getting a bachelor degree in psychology. But, Im so broke all the time, and I really want a baby, so I was thinking of getting my associates first in medical transcription because my school also has that degree. My end goal is to have my masters and teach college...I want to teach psychology, and teach film..random, i know, but thats what I want to do.

Cardiff: Why am I just so in love with the impossible all the time?
A year ago, my life took a dive and I ended up alone again. My girlfriend left, I lost my job, the Government came after me for unpaid taxes, I lost everything and ended up wanting to die!
Today, still alive (don't ask me how or why) ... I'm searching for the one person I would want to spend the rest of my days with. Well, the problem is that I'm just feeling so much for Britney Spears!!!! Cardiff: WHat do you do with no motivation in college?
So...I did well in high school, well my first semester at tulane (first college i went to,) and now...in the past two weeks i'm suffering from a slump and i don't give a crap whether I fail or not...at ALL. I don't know what I want to do with my life, just realized I don't want to be a music major (but only because the program is insanely time consuming/I have no life/i am not passionate enough yet to do this.) Cardiff: I can't decide on what career I want to do. help me decide?
have 3 things I'm interested in:
One is making movies. Me and my friends make movies all the time and I love the thrill of thinking up good storylines and dramatic plots, as well as I love acting (I have no acting lessons as of yet). It's a ton of fun.
Two, I'm considering acting. I know it's a long stretch, but I love the fun of it and I love the drama actors like Will Smith and Tom Cruise can portray in their films, one being Will Smith in I Am Legend. I think it'd be very fun to be able to portray that same drama in big films (I'm not looking for small independent film making).
