Cardiff: Why would the Houston Astros sign Mike Hampton like they did today, 1 year - 2 million. They should just?
flush that 2 million down the drain right now. You know this guy will get injured from now until opening day 2009. He will fall off his roof putting Christmas lights on, he will slip in the shower, he will tweak his back shoveling snow. This guy is such a joke and the biggest bust ever with that 130 million dollar contract he just got and was injured 3/4 of the time. Who agrees this was a bad move for the Astros?
This guy should play for free or the MLB minimum, after the rape he just did the past 8 years.

Cardiff: Is the UAW union just a waste of money?
Before you trash my question with pro-union rhetoric, here are some facts:
1. Detroit’s auto workers are the highest paid manufacturing workers in the world. That’s right, the world. The sad part is that they are paid so much and still manufacture crappy cars.
2. Laid off workers receive 95% of their salary for up to 2 years without having to get out of bed. It’s called a Jobs Bank and 15,000 employees took advantage of this system in 2006.
3. UAW contracts are so long that it costs a lot of money just to have a lawyer review it. They also contain restrictions on certain jobs and require multiple employees to do the same job. What a waste of money!

I need someone who may have been a similar situation or has actual knowledge on this, not just an opinion.
A construction company had a contract to do demolition work on a job site. When that construction company was not on the job, another company that does not have a contract came on to the job site, wrecked the building and took all the salvagable materials. This other company took all the value off of the job and made it a mess. Can the people be arrested? The materials are now sitting on their property. I know they can be sued. We have before and after photos. My question is can the owner of the company be arrested?...

I joined the Air Force Reserves, signed all of my contracts, took the oath and I have waited for 2 months to realize that I do not want to go to boot camp and join. Are there any penalties to get out of the Air Force? Is it true they own me completely now?

He is a great player & he deserves to get his money that is not what i am talking about! Hell i think he could even get more money than that! What i mean is he signed 6 years for $40 milion. That means he is getting 666 for 6 years ($6.66 million each year for 6 years! That sounds a little scray to me. I have a pantech duo and soon i am looking forward to purchasing a LG Vu. I have had this phone for about a yr and i am not able to upgrade till dec. 28. But i have a problem. My birthday is on the 29th and i want my phone before then. Am i not able to go ahead and buy the phone with the 2yr contract that comes with it because im not able for an upgrade just yet?Or will i have to buy it at full price??...
