I rang the factory manager up the next morning and told him I quit and he was like whatever he didn't care. Then I rang the job agency and they became really angry demanding I give a reason? I was telling her I did not think I could do the job and she said that isn't a good enough reason.

Canada: As an employer, legally speaking, do you have to give out information to creditors?
I’m pretty sure that according to the Fair Debt and Collections act that you can request that collection agencies do NOT contact the employee at work. I ask because we have had quite a few as of late in regards to different employees. Which is fine, everyone goes through tough times, especially now. However legally speaking, what am I obligated to do?
I have told this one particular agent who is RUTHLESS that I can only take a message as we do not put calls through unless they are emergencies or unless our employee has requested that we do. I take down a name and number and pass it along. That’s my job. That’s where it ends.

Ok, so I was made redundant in Oct and was out of work for 6 weeks. I started agency work on the 17th Nov and I am still there. Last week on Wed 26th Nov I got offered a job working with people with learning difficulties, which I accepted. It involves 6 months training before going out on the job. Here's the problem, on Nov 28th I discovered I was pregnant and am now about 5 weeks. What should I do? I have read that I will be entitled to maternity allowance. Canada: Why can't I get a job?
I've been out of work for 2 months now and about to move back home due to financial difficulties.

I've applied for multiple positions through the internet, contacted agencies and can't get a position anywhere. Now I'm struggling to get an interview.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers... 03 Dec 08, 12:12:06
