Canada: What kind of court is a curfew charge going to be in?
I was in a car wreck and I lied to the police and said I was wearing my seat belt because I didn't want to get into anymore trouble. When we got in the wreck it was past curfew and we all got charged for that since we are all under the age of that law. I have to go to court soon and I don't know what kind of court it's going to be. I only got charged for curfew but I don't know if they are going to ask the question if I was wearing my seat belt. I don't want to get caught in my lie but then I don't want to say I lied and get in trouble for lying. A year ago I got arrested for something and I had to do 20 hours of community service and can not get my permit till ... 04 Dec 08, 12:12:22
Canada: Lectures on creationisim: sediment and the flood?
I know I just posted, but I needed to reword it and clarify a bit.
A few months back I stumbled on a series of lectures from a professor of religion whose name I can't remember. He had an entire series devoted to creationism and he was talking about the layers of sediment; how they don't necessarily align with certain time periods, as is generally accepted in the scientific community. He argued that they settled the way they did during the flood, thus challenging the theory of evolution. It was fascinating. If someone knows what I was talking about and where I could find these again, could you post a link?
It isn't Hovind.
And a professor of ANYTHING can talk about... 04 Dec 08, 12:12:22
Canada: The So-Called Gay Plague !?
A question on HIV/AIDS....
First, there's no reason to call it that---EVER... Why do homophobic freaks blame the virus on the gay community? Is this true? Is it just another method of discrimination from these freaks? I once heard the gay community does hold the highest percentage of the infection. Is that true!? Does anyone KNOW the percentages?
Opinions? Explanations? THANX!! =D... 04 Dec 08, 12:12:49

Canada: Trade Schools- help!?
I'm going to be honest, I'm a horrible student. I've always been that way, and I can't really do a whole lot to change it. I'm trying to have a career- almost any career at this point- in design, either graphic or interior.
I had to drop out of Kent State University after one semester because I was doing so badly, and came back home and have been attending community college ever since. quite frankely, i'm extremely tired of going to school at all...I can't stand it and want it to be over with, and I'm still doing bad even with just two basic classes and no job. I've been reeming about this whole school thing because of all the extra work you ha... 03 Dec 08, 11:12:50
Canada: Do you think its better to raise your children sheltered?
Or do you think its better to expose them to all of life's trials and tribulations?
I was raised in a very sheltered community. My parents didn't teach me about what goes on in real life. Everything was sugar coated and stereotyped. I had a great childhood full of bliss but I couldn't even watch the news because it seemed like all death and corruption and it upset me.
Now that im older (22) I see that this life is not a bowl of sugar. Its not easy and I feel like if i was more prepared and exposed to it I wouldn't of been so shell shocked.
What are your thoughts and experiences? I read an article about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They said they love the fact ... 03 Dec 08, 11:12:11
