Canada: questions about disability and mental health?
(I am using my sister's account)
I am a 20 year old female and I have a few anxiety disorders that make life really difficult for me.I have tried different methods of coping, but no success.I have not been properly diagnosed (although it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what's wrong) but I am going to make an appointment soon.I really do not want medications because I choose not to live my life with things like medications.
On top of the stress with my disorders, I am having the stress of money.I cannot get a job because I cannot function properly with one.I am a nervous wreck at the job and the night before. The anxiety would be so great i would have... 04 Dec 08, 12:12:35
Canada: What on earth should I do?
I am a recently returning freshman (I took a year off for personal health prior to coming back last Spring semester) at NKU. It's a great school, relatively easy to pay for but not if you're in a situation like me.
I have 1.6k left on my account for this fall semester, and I cannot register for this Spring semester because I have to pay it off. My mother and father help me (thankfully) however my father is currently off work for the month of December because he works for Ford -- we know how that goes. My mother is a specialist in her job, and about four weeks ago filed for her paychecks to be placed into her account. Unfortunately, the system is taking too long -- ... 04 Dec 08, 12:12:48

Now that I am going to be graduating, I would like to start looking for a job more along the lines of what I want to go into (accounting), so as to gain some experience, and I also need higher pay so as to be able to pay for college. Where do I start looking? Firstly, I don't know what a college student can do that deals with something along the lines of accounting. Secondly, I don't know where to start looking...I have tried some websites, but they all require some kind of college experience, generally two years at least. Any help to point me in the r... 03 Dec 08, 10:12:07

Canada: Why do business degrees get such a bad rap?
My family is as blue collar as you can get, neither of my parents graduated highschool, and I never learned of business. Terms like initial public offering, stockholder's equity and P/E ratio were unheard of to me. SO when I came to college, I learned about the business school and it excited me. I learned that majors such as finance and accounting led to jobs that were both sought after and well paying. So I became and accounting major, now third year.
Since then, I've herad a lot of criticism of business majors, and not just the generic general managment major. People talk of business majors being joke majors, and one older woman was horrified to learn that I wa... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:31
