News Articles on Music Jobs in Cambridge
Cambridge: Finding the perfect job..?
I am trying to find my perfect future job, but it is hard because my interests are very scattered and vary. Here are a few of my interests :
-I like history, and learning about how we got here, our culture, animals and how we have evolved.
-I like writing and music.
-I like to cook.
-I like animals, and learning about different species.
-I like helping others, and finding solutions as to how to help.
etc.
Could someone offer a few ideas for jobs that are in the range of my interests?? Thank you!
I am also interested in law.. like defending people who can't defend themselves.
I am also very interested in how the mind works, (how we think, feel, why we do things) and also how the... 03 Dec 08, 11:12:27
Cambridge: How do i make my life more positive?
My life at the moment is getting really stressful and i just can't handle it at all.
I'm getting C's in college, which ok isn't the worst i could do, but i've taken quite hard, mentally, subjects like maths and english and also music. I have consultation day tomorrow and i'm really not looking forward to it. I feel like i'm going to fail everything and not get into the uni i want to, and hearing this off of my teachers will just make me feel worse and even more hopeless.
Also, i have 2 jobs which are stressing me out. I would quit one, but one of them is only a christmas temp job and i really like that one, but if i quit the other then i'd be left wi... 03 Dec 08, 11:12:44
Cambridge: Another 'what to get my boyfriend for Christmas' question!!!?
I know everybody is probably tired of these questions but I am at a complete loss of what to get my boyfriend for Christmas...
We set a budget of around $100. He is 25, has a full time job, plays the guitar, works out a lot, plays basketball, loves music, etc... We've been dating for like 2 months, around 3 at Christmas.
I've looked for concert tickets, but can't find any. He doesn't have a computer at home right now so I don't think an iPod would work. Ugh, I'm so stressed out because nothing seems like a good enough idea for our first Christmas together.
And I'm not making a scrapbook (mainly because we don't have hardly any pictures together). I&... 03 Dec 08, 08:12:57
Cambridge: Tell me what to get these people for christmas! ?
Ok, between my twin sister and I, we probably have a limit of $300 saved up for christmas presents for people. We are in college, we take the city bus to school and work everyday, so we're not in a great financial position but it's the first year that we've had jobs around christmas time and now that we are making money, we might as well give our parents presents since they've been giving us presents for 17 years!
What should I get my mom? I was thinking maybe a day at a spa... she got into a car accident a couple years ago and is recovering from a recent neck surgery... she broke some vertibrates and her back/neck is pretty bad now a days. She's also unable to wo... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:15
Cambridge: Is this stalking or harrassment? Should I ignore?
I am 34 year's old woman, married with a child. I recently discovered that one of my big bosses, a CFO in his 50's ( who is not my direct boss) has gone onto my pc and copied or tried to copy my music from my itune without asking me. It seems to have happened a month ago while i was not there. I discovered this when I opened my itune (which i rarely do) and found his name under where it says who's folder and all the songs i didn't recognized. It seems that he tried and failed (because i tunes don't let copy anyone else's music unless u have another softwear).
He joined the company about 6 months after I started working, and ever since he would ask me here and t... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:07

Cambridge: Is this too much to ask for?
K, I'm 17 (18 in January) and I have a decent job, I also go to Wayne State University. But I don't have a lot of extra money, because my sister and I are trying to save up for a much-needed car as well as to move out of our mom's house and be independent, get our own place.
My parents are divorced. Neither are doing good, financially. From my dad, I asked for a new ipod. Just a new nano, I told him I don't care if it's off ebay so it can be cheaper. I just NEED an ipod, I need my music. I bought myself a new ipod nano, but lost it when I moved (not my fault, seriously) and don't have extra cash to replace it.
From my mom, I'm asking for a new phone. ... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:57
Cambridge: Is the Christmas music at your job already annoying you?
I work at a bank and it's blasting over my head. This isn't the mall!
The guy next to me feels obligated to announce the artist and title to every song. And why do people have to sing in public who obviously can't sing. AHHHHHHHHH
Don't get me wrong, I ain't no scrooge. I love x-mas. Like when I'm relaxing, or shopping, but not working!
Bonus question... what's your favorite Christmas song?
Mine is Sleigh Ride... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:23
Cambridge: Is there another profession like a priest in which you get to spend lots of time studying/reflecting?
I've been the kind of person who's always been miserable at any job I've ever had, and I finally realize why. It's because I don't care about slaving away to make money to buy crap. I just want to make enough money to live on, but at the same time have the freedom to study, learn languages, read books, write books, immerse myself in music and art, even have time to go and sit outside on a beautiful day and reflect on my thoughts.
The only problem is that the only profession I can think of like this would be that of a priest and/or monk, but I'm not a very religious man. That and I'm married.
Still I feel that I will never be truly happy until I can ha... 03 Dec 08, 05:12:14
