Bristol: Thinking of joining the airforce after school? HELP!?
I'm graduating school at the end of the year with a degree in Computer Science. And i've been thinking of joining the airforce as an officer for several months.
Would I have to take the military testing to determine what job?
I noticed the jobs listed on the AF's webpage doesn't really deal with Computer Science, unless I'm mistaken. I'm basically looking for hardware, programming, or a networking type of job..
Any help would be appreciated...Thanks... 23 Nov 08, 09:11:56

Bristol: How do I update my computer?
I remember a past teacher I had said that people are stupid, they buy brand new computers to get the stuff they want, when they can upgrade it cheaper and may work even better.
My fear is when I do get the parts........I may damage my computer because I never went inside of one to upgrade it.
Should I hire someone? And will it be pricey? I bet so because I seen some charge by the hour and because of lack of jobs I don't want to have acard installed and it takes them ten hours : I thats when Augusta sues!
Anyway here is what is needed at least to play the game:
FOR WINDOWS XP
* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 512 MB RAM
* A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Sh... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:19

Bristol: Doing MUCH more than I signed up for at my job, boss rejected my raise, I'm ready to do what I was hired for?
Without getting lengthy, here is what is going on:
When I was hired at my job, it was very specific what I was going to do in my contract. My boss has the ability to waive a certain amount of my responsibilities in order to assist him in a time of need. Well, after only a month on the job, I started basically doing his job (or at least half of it), because we had a lot of business. I was doing my job and then some (make that a lot). I found myself answering e-mails and taking calls LATE at night...and probably being available 16 hours/day. Now that business has slowed down, he is asking me to do the job that I signed up for again. You would assume that would mean l... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:15
Bristol: MBA with a Criminal Record?
Hi! I am a computer science major and am thinking of applying for an MBA to change careers and aim for the big bucks. I have pretty good scores/gpa etc and hence would probably get an admission. However, about 5 years back while I was a stupid guy recently out of college, I ended up getting charged for performing some lewd acts in public while partying with some of my drunken crazy pals during a weekend. This was a misdemeanor offense and the charge was subsequently sealed (not expunged) by the judge since this was my only brush with the law. Even though the record is sealed from private employers and companies, it would still be accessible by many government and licensing/regulatory agencie... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:22

Bristol: Can you give me advice on a career to pursue?
I'm really confused with life right now... we'll not really with LIFE, but with what I would like to DO in life. Everyone around me is either in the military or a teacher. Those sound appealing, but not totally what I would want to do with my life. I'm going to be brash and say that I'm smart. I'm in advanced classes and find a lot of things easy (sorry if that sounds like I'm trying to brag or something, but I'm really not). I'm 17, this is a crucial point in my life, I realize, that I need to start looking at career options and college. I'm a very good writer, I'm athletic(football, wrestling, probably getting a scholarship for football), I... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:00
Bristol: Does the Xbox 360 wireless network adapter send and recieve DSL/cable connections? ?
I know that the wireless adapter for the 360 recieves the connection but I was wondering if it also did the job of a router only for one computer though. Because it costs $150 so i thought maybe it did both.... 23 Nov 08, 03:11:42
