Bridport: Cocktail waitress in Atlanta (at gentleman's club)?
I'm a 25 year old attractive female that works in the Wine & Spirits industry (for a distributor - in Marketing). I recently moved to Atlanta and I'm interested in working a couple of a days/nights a week as a cocktail waitress at a strip club.
I used to be a server at a restaurant and have waitress experience. Strip clubs don't freak me out because my best friend is a dancer (in NY, not Atlanta). I have a great personality and a great knowledge of alcoholic drinks, etc.
I guess I'm just writing to see what clubs I should goto to inquire about cocktail waitress positions. Like I said, I'm new to Atlanta..and don't know the area well. I... 07 Jan 09, 09:01:54
Bridport: Baccalaureate vs Multidisciplinary degree?
I'm going to university this year (in Fall). I know that I want to major in political science, but I can either focus in that subject and get a bachelor's degree in there, or take up a multidisciplinary degree and get certificates in political science, art and philosophy.
The prospect of working in other domains other than just political science all the time is tempting. However, I'm wondering if this will impact my competitiveness in a negative way once I'm on the job market. I'm willing to take in many subjects at once, but I also want to be sure I'm going to get a stable, decent job after getting out of University. So which one do you think I should pick ... 07 Jan 09, 08:01:10
Bridport: Do you think we will have a problem getting a home loan?
Me and my fiance are trying to buy a home... we're both young and just looking for a starter home, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths. It's on the market for 59,900 because of the ladies situation.. loosing her job, husband is sick and she just needs to sell it. I love the home and it would be great for us. She bought it for 79,900 so we would be getting a deal. Anyway, we were thinking about just putting the home in my fiances name and history, to get personal his credit is about 690, 35k a year, 2 car loans, about 6 cc's with low balances and has only made a late payment twice in the past 5 years. He's been at the same job for almost 4 years. But my question is that because i really... 07 Jan 09, 07:01:51

Bridport: How does your workplace gather news?
I work in marketing at a organisation similar to an adult education college. One of my jobs is to write e-news letters and update the news on our website however interesting news tends to stay within each department and then gets forgotten by the time I ask people for ideas.
This week I had an idea of a weekly news email that is sent around and asks each department for a couple of sentences about something interesting that has happened that week. I think that this is a good idea and could work in my workplace but I wondered whether other people have any better suggestions for how to share news easily. Other departments are very busy and sharing their news with me is not going to be high o... 07 Jan 09, 07:01:36

Bridport: Is it about time that we end renewable energy subsidies?
We taxpayers have dumped $Billions into wind, solar...etc. and have gotten no return. Shouldn't we allow the Free Market determine what forms of energy we use?
From the Wall Street Journal:
Congress seems ready to spend billions on a new Manhattan Project for green energy, or at least the political class really, really likes talking about one. But maybe we should look at what our energy subsidy dollars are buying now.
Some clarity comes from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), an independent federal agency that tried to quantify government spending on energy production in 2007. The agency reports that the total taxpayer bill was $16.6 billion in... 07 Jan 09, 06:01:46
