Bangor: Could I become an officer?
I plan on joining the navy as soon as I graduate and I want to become an officer in mechanics and work on an aircraft carrier but I want to go to art collage. Could I be an officer and do a job that has nothing to do with my degree? Also could I become an officer after I already enlisted and how long would that take?... 04 Dec 08, 11:12:04
Bangor: Is this pathetic? It makes me sad ?
I will graduate in a couple of weeks with a bachelor's and my major is not really something I am interested in. I don't want to go back to school after I graduate. I have an administrative job now but I don't like it. It's sad to say but I don't have any special interests that I can have a career in. I just need something to support myself that's all. What should I do? I'm feel like I'm stuck.... 04 Dec 08, 10:12:22

Bangor: Which major to choose? i like them all!?
ok, i am going to try and give this as brief as possible...
I have always been interested in law, and i used to say in elementary that i was going to become a lawyer, but after discovering that the pay is somtimes low and it is furious compitition, i started shading away from law and thinking safe, major in biology/pre-dent/pre-pharrm. and get into med school pass and become a doctor live happy! yay money jk. please dont sit here and write me a comment on how money shouldnt be the... blah blah blah, i know! anywho...it was a time when i was fixated on becoming a doctor (either pharmecist or dentist] because i am good at math, and science has never been a problem.... its the writting i am... 04 Dec 08, 10:12:16
Bangor: How can I better my interviews?
I have had several interviews over the last few months since graduating college in June. I go into interviews upbeat but come out thinking I am just not right for these positions. I have a bachelors in business with a focus on marketing and I'm beginning to think this just isn't for me. I do enjoy certain aspects of marketing like research and analysis, but I am not seeing any entry level positions for this. It is pretty much sales or clerical work. I would prefer anything over sales. Now I don't neccessarily have a confidence issue, but I'm afraid that I am coming off that way in my interviews. I don't have any relevant experience and despite being 23 I look ... 04 Dec 08, 09:12:37
Bangor: I already work three jobs but can't afford to move out of my parents' house, help!?
I have a full time job from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, until next week (I graduate this month) I go to school from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, then go to work as an overnight nanny on school days from 11:00pm to 7:15am. On the weekends I work at a horse barn from 9:00am to 11:30am. I don't think I can fit anymore into my schedule but I still can't afford to move out. I make about $2000 a month and the rent is $650, not including insurance and utilities. Usually, I can limit my spending (food, gas, etc) to about $800 a month and then my car insurance is $80, and my cell phone is $80. I'd like to keep putting money into my savings account as well, just in case some emergency happens.
Do you ... 04 Dec 08, 09:12:33
Bangor: I can't afford to buy xmas gifts what can i do?
I recently graduated college and I have not been able to find a job. I have less than $500 to my name. Everyday I look for jobs. Christmas is coming up and I have a huge family. I feel like it is expected that I buy a present for everyone. They all get gifts for me. So if I don't get them something, I will feel very guilty. But I don't think I can afford to buy a present for 15 people. What can I do?... 04 Dec 08, 09:12:53
Bangor: Am I just a wh**e or is my husband just not right for me?
I'm a married woman and 24. I just had my one year anniversary. My relationship with my husband has always been really jaded. I let him do whatever he wants and really expect nothing in return. At first I thought it was because I loved him for who he was (so anything else wouldn't matter) but I've come to realize that because of how he treats me, I built a wall up to shield myself and therefore just didn't care about what he says or does.
Before we married I had broken up with him and dated another guy (we only ever kissed) and that gave him infinite ammo to control me after we got back together. He has full access to my phone, email, everything and checks it eve... 04 Dec 08, 08:12:24
Bangor: Has anyone written a letter to a teacher asking for a grade change?
I worked real hard in class, did all the homework and extra credit. I missed a few classes due to medical reasons and I believe that has dropped my grade down and now I can't graduate. I received a 2.4 but I need a 2.5. It's really frustrating because I'm applying for jobs while having to worry about this... Anyone has a copy of what a letter should sound like? I dont wanna offend her or get her on my wrong side. Personally I believe my grade should have been in the 2.8 range from my calculations but I dont care so long as it's passing.... 04 Dec 08, 08:12:53
