I work with a woman 20 years older than me. There are only2of in the centre.It is a centre for ppl with disability. She is a trouble maker with major issues around self and professional confidence. The problem is she in in charge of me. She does nothing,or as little work as possible.
I do the work for both of us and then she will pick me up on a small trivial mistake i might make. She is negative ALL of the time. She constantly bitches about our boss who works in another centre or about other staff in other centres. She pretends to have the service users best interest at heart but then has nasty derogative nick names for them behind their back and shouts at them and abuses her power over...

I'm in spiritual turmoil here...
This is my situation...
I invited a family to live in my house so that they can get on their feet.
The man was a bit deceptive about his situation...he didn't tell me the whole story until after he had moved in (in regards to recent marijuana use--which hurts his chances at certain employment; as well as a criminal record...and he is a smoker...who feels that it is a human right to smoke even though he doesn't have money to feed his family)...his fiancee and 17 month old daughter are also living here with him.
He just got a 40-hour-a-week, $8/hour job...and has told...

Ayr: Should I go self employed?
I have always wanted to be self employed and have the opportunity to pick up a good client that will allow this. I have a good paying job that is high stress and the only reason I stay is for the money and security and people. I am having second thoughts about doing this as being self employed will be a pay cut, but I can survive and build my customer base. Should I stay in a job or take the risk and move on?...

I recently moved to the Silverdale / Bremerton area from Olympia and am looking to find a job or volunteer opportunity that I will actually enjoy. I am NOT MILITARY so on base volunteer options are not available to me. I simply don't know very many people in the area at this point and need to get out of the house and feel productive. I've been looking on Cragslist, Hot Jobs, etc. but am mostly finding telemarketing and nursing jobs, neither of which I would be interested in. Ayr: BA in Economics vs. BS in Economics?
My university (SUNY Binghamton) offers 4 Economics degrees - a BA in Economics, BS in Economic Analysis, BS in Financial Economics, and BS in Economic Policy.
The BA in Economics consists of less courses, most of which are not as specific as the courses in the BS majors.
I'm not sure which one I want to major in yet but I just wanted to ask .... how far can a BA in Economics get me? I know its an arts degree as compared to the other science degrees, but would job opportunities differ greatly if I graduate with a BA vs. a BS degree? I am a freshman, so I still have time to think about it.

Ayr: Do you have any tips for a Hawaii native considering relocating to the West Coast?
I was born and raised on Oahu and have never lived anywhere else. I'm a single female who's graduated from college and has been working in marketing/PR/publishing. I am considering moving to the mainland because I feel like there'll be more opportunities there - better pay, faster career advancement, lower cost of living, able to meet new people, have diverse experiences, etc. As most locals know, living in Hawaii can make you feel very sheltered and I think I'm ready to experience more of the world.
