Job Description
HR Manager
Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Home Counties, South East
This is a role for a highly experienced HR professional and the salary and package associated with such a role would be available for a suitably qualified candidate.
We are a recruitment agency and we are currently recruiting for an experiened and highly skilled HR professional, the successful candidate would be responsible for the HR department ensuring recruitment targets were met and were within budget constraints. ALso with skills and expertise in the management and development of key people.
Person Specification:
Experience in generalist HR as well as either recruitment or L&D
Experience of entry level programmes
360 degree feedback facilitator
Experience of working in an international environment
Leadership skills & experience of managing teams remotely
Ability to interact and communicate at all levels including top level management
Experience of Project Management
Experience of setting HR policy
Experience of managing large budgets
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment
To manage the recruitment process and budget including:
Manage the third party suppliers for permanent and sub-contractor recruitment
Own the recruitment strategy, policy and process flows
Manage the recruitment budget
Set the marketing strategy, advert design, media planning and promotional materials
Organise attendance at recruitment fairs
Define the Bounty referral scheme and arbitrate on disputes of candidate ownership
Produce monthly statistics for the UK leadership team and HR Business Partners
Write the ?Resourcing News? newsletter
Work on any inter-company recruitment projects and strategies.
2. Key People Development
Work with the Key people Development team and HR Business partners, to manage key resources including:
Coordinate UK nominations key people development programmes
Run bi-annual UK Development Centres for Managers and Executives
Keep UK list of Company Experts, Hipos and Mentors up-to-date
Produce the UK Succession Plan, identifying any gaps and working with HR Business Partners to develop individuals or recruit resources as required.
3. Entry level programmes
Manage the UK Graduate Programme; responsible for the programme design, university liaison, recruitment of graduate trainees, managing the budget, Chair the Graduate Liaison Council.
Manage the UK Apprentice programme; responsible for the programme design, school and college liaison, recruitment of apprentices, managing the budget, Chair the Apprentice Steering Committee.
Manage the Young Professionals Association and control its funding.
4. Education Liaison
Set the Company?s Education Liaison strategy and policy.
Manage Science and Engineering Ambassadors and their activity.
Manage the Education Liaison budget.
Set the Company?s policy on work experience and internships; manage the activity and the budget.
