Health & Safety Practioner
Slough, Berkshire, South East, Home Counties

We are a specialist recruitment agency and we are currently looking for an experienced Health & safety Practioner for our client based in Berkshire. Oil & Gas Industry experience is necessary for this role. Our client is an engineering, health & safety and risk management consultancy with a pan-industry clientele focusing on three core areas: offshore oil & gas; renewable energy; and health, safety and risk consultancy. We provide services to a variety of major duty holders (including BP, BG, Centrica and NPower) and regulators (including HSA, HSE, MMS and ORR). We have held a framework agreement with HSE for providing technical support services since 1998.
The role, based within our offshore windfarm group in our Slough office will involve:
Ensuring Company, Project and Contract Compliance with Health & Safety Legislation
Preparation and review of Safety Management Systems; Company; Project and Contractor
Preparation of Contract specifications relating to Health & Safety
Review of contractor documentation relating to H & S, including method statements and risk assessment
Implementing a pro-active and reactive H & S culture within a project management environment.
Providing guidance and evaluation on CDM regulations on a project basis
Establishing project based Health & Safety audit plans and managing the implementation of these
Working with Project Managers to ensure appropriate Health & Safety training, awareness and culture.
We are looking for people who ideally have the following skills and attributes:
Suitable Experience
Chartered Practitioner, i.e. CMIOSH
Team Working
Pro-active
Qualified - NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Qualified CDM Co-ordinator
