Job Description
GRADUATE SITE SAFETY CASE ENGINEER (Jetty)– (Helensburgh) . West of Scotland
CLIENT – Our client provides a wide range of high quality, support service solutions to public and private sector customers. This partnership is contracted to 2013 and provides management and support of key engineering/maintenance, logistics, facilities management and accommodation & catering for all site personnel.
ROLE – Site Safety Case Engineer- Reporting to Head of Nuclear Compliance
•To maintain Southern Jetties and Finger Jetty Nuclear Site Safety Justification (NSSJ) so that it remains extant and is controlled as detailed in JSP 518 and Naval Base Authorisation Document (NBAD)
•Develop and maintain professional interfaces between key Facility/Utility Operators to identify, manage and resolve possible safety justification integration problems
•Research and have a working knowledge of the Design Safety Substantiation Case (DSSC) and other documentation, which supports the NSSJ for the Southern Jetties and Finger Jetties.
•Review and maintain the Nuclear Site Safety Justification (NSSJ) documentation in support of Southern Jetties and Finger Jetty and related operations in accordance with the extant Corporate Management System, that is compliant to continued authorisation under JSP 518 and to ensure all operations are Jusitified and ALARP
•Support the Site Safety Justofocatoon Manager (SSJM) in the development and maintenance of a fully justified and compliant Nuclear Site Safety Justifiation
•Liasion with MoD depts, NSRP and Platform Design Authorities as required in the maintenance and development of the Southern Jetties and Finger Jetty Nuclear FSC and supporting documentation
PERSON SPEC - higher weighting more important
•10- Recent Graduate with a Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or in Physics
•10 - Strong organization and analytical skills,
•10 - IT skills - Microsoft packages, Word, excel, PowerPoint etc
•10 - Character - bright, Enthusiastic, tenacious, positive, innovative & creative
•9 - Good communicator (oral and written), comfortable interfacing at all levels
•8 - Full and clean UK drivers licence
•8- NIC and NSSJC or prepared to complete within 6 months of taking up post
