£17000 - £18000 per annum

Job Description

Experienced Administrator required for a independent local government body to provide a range of specialised administrative support duties to the Conference and Events Management team

1.1.To maintain and develop conference bookings and marketing databases, undertaking computerised administration of conference bookings, cancellations on a specialist conference software and also dealing with the administration of the manual booking system support files.
2.To attend events to provide general administrative support to the Events Team.
3.To compile, collate and distribute conference information packs and marketing information packs for postal and fax distribution.
4.To act as first point of contact for enquiries, and respond to or refer enquiries as appropriate.
5.To maintain and develop the conference and event departments filing systems.
6.To support the integration of equal opportunities and other policies for staff.
7.To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.

A good knowledge of office systems and procedures likely to have been gained from at least 2 years' previous administrative experience, at least half of which involved customer data entry and database work.
