We are a specialist recruitment agency and we are currently resourcing for an Electronics DSL Specialist for our Manchester based client.
Electronics DSL Specialist - Digital Subscriber Line
This is probably one of the most exciting opportunities to become a specialist with one of the most dynamic growing companies in the telecomms sector.
Experience working with wireline systems: ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, and VDSL2. This experience is extended in the field of analyzing (multi-carrier OFDM and DMT) algorithms, testing and developing software for copper lines, measurements in ADSL/ADSL2+ and VDSL2 systems, modeling extraction, Spectrum Management studies, contribution to the standards, among others
Our client is one of the UK's largest telecoms network operators and is focused on developing advanced telecom services software, with products built for the 'intelligent network', such as interactive voice response, billing and Internet computer platforms.
They have developed their own intelligent network, interactive voice response and Internet service provider outsourcing platforms.
Investing heavily in the future to advance technology and service, they are looking for a specialist within DSL and specifically the effects of Copper cabling. You will be a guru in Copper issues in several areas including supporting:
R&D for future technolgies including HDSL and VDSL
Existing Network Engineers for fault and reliability issues on the current network
Analysis and solutions to external forces on Copper cabling
Your typical experience and background will be:
Minimum degree in Electronics or Telecommunications.
Solid experience with a UK line carrier.
You will have an indepth electronics knowledge with a full understanding of electronic engineering principles and issues specifically regarding Copper wiring and cabling.
Good communications skills with experience of interdepartmental liaison.
