Design Engineer
Luton, Bedfordshire, South East, Home Counties
Salary guideline range £21-23,000 per annum
We are a spciesalist recruitment agency and we are currently recruiting for our Luton based client for a Design Engineer who has a couple of years experience.
The company is involved in the supply of submersible motors and pumps for use in the power, water and offshore industries. It specialises in the manufacture of low volume, high value equipment for use in critical applications in these industries.
The Design Engineer
This role requires a design engineer with a background in pump design with a desire to work with a team of engineers developing products for a variety of applications. The ideal candidate will also have a desire to challenge the boundaries of the present designs in conjunction with a team of capable engineers.
Capabilities, experience and education
The applicant would be expected to have the following capabilities and education:
· A degree in a suitable and relevant discipline.
· Experience in pump design and fluid dynamics.
· CAD skills (ideally SolidWorks 2 and 3D)
· Knowledge of bearing systems and, or, finite element analysis would be an advantage.
· A flexible 'hands on' approach.
