Job Description: Im looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the environments in our international platforms and websites. Requirements -Proven working experience of Windows administration in a demanding environment, with a focus on HA for critical service. -Microsoft IIS Web Server, ideally for an eCommerce site -A strong understanding of core Internet protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP etc) -Experience with .NET ( ASP and C# ), Powershell (or similar) -An understanding of load balancing technologies -An understanding of server Virtualisation technologies -Performance tuning of systems: system, network and applications -Technical writing skills for documenting environments and procedures -SAN or NAS Technology -Use of Open Source tools and products such MySQL and Apache may also be useful Responsibilities -Configure, install, maintain, tune and document primarily Windows based environments -Resolve infrastructure problems dispatched by the support teams -Co-ordinate and deliver technology projects -Assist in evaluating and recommending technology and 3rd party solutions -Escalation to technology managers of any failings or shortfalls by any service providers -Provide support during peak traffic periods as required by the business -Ensure the various environments have been sufficiently scaled and tested in advance -Work with Development and Support teams in implementing new features -Required to carry a Blackberry and provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.
