Job Description: Social Services (children) Legal Assistant. My client a South Lancashire Local Authority is looking for a legal assistant experienced with social services children and families teams to join its team. You will require a good knowledge of the children's act and have previous experience working with child protection cases.
Working within the social care team you will provide administrative support to the legal team as well as acting in a legal assistant capacity, helping the preparation of child protection cases in line with the Children's Act. You will also be required to prepare and file other documents in court as instructed.
