The Role
The Global Media Services Manager is a member of a strategic Media Intelligence unit providing global media services management, and associated project management for global media, news and issue monitoring and analysis to large international clients.
Responsibilities
• Main point of contact for large client contracts
• Manage delivery and support to up to 3 large customers on a global scale
• Advise and consult on services provided to clients, as well as suggest improvements
to the service if needed
• Work with respective client's business and IT teams to manage overall
implementation and delivery
• Work with customers' current providers during vendor consolidation phases,
ensuring current services are maintained until capable of beginning new service
• Maintain an excellent understanding of media, news and issue monitoring and
analysis services including (but not limited to) online media content, premium
services, blogs and other social media, broadcasts, podcasts and wiki
• Maintain good knowledge of online media monitoring technologies
• Working closely with the rest of the team to further simplify and optimize the
internal media monitoring processes
• Respond quickly to arising external issues and provide the necessary advise
internally and to clients
Key Skills Required
• First hand experience in media, news and issue monitoring
• Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills in English, both written and oral
• Essential understanding of the value of the service and dedication towards customers
• Ability to lead teams with both local and virtual colleagues
• Good editorial judgement for customizing and solving media monitoring related inquiries
• Ability to manage and prioritize a workload that is high and fast moving
• An experienced Internet user and familiar with 2.0 tools and trends
• Experience managing parallel and potentially complex tasks and activities
