Job Description:  Commodities/Sourcing Manager £40,000 This international multi-channel market leader requires an experienced Commodities/Sourcing Manager based in Northampton. As Sourcing/Commodities Manager your main area of responsibility will be to ensure that the materials for EMEA are procured in a cost effective, professional and efficient way and that this creates and sustains a very competitive edge which will in turn contribute to the company's overall profitability. You will be based at Northampton, which is the company's headquarters and report to the Category Sourcing Manager. Key Responsibilities ��� You will develop, submit the regional/global commodity sourcing strategies for approval by the Category Sourcing Managers and Senior Managers ��� Have previous experience of leading cross-category commodity teams to achieve material cost reduction targets , while maintaining supplier reliability and the delivery of the innovation plan ��� Constantly advising the EMEA Source Management Team on global supplier network capabilities, commodity/spend category trends and make the aware of industry best practices at all times ��� Previous experience of negotiating agreements including Strategic Sourcing Agreement is essential in this key role ��� Leading in the mediation and problem resolution which relates to suppliers, timelines and interpretations of agreements and contracts ��� You will be responsible for the review, coordination and administration of long term and blanket purchase contracts at a corporate level within the company but within the authority limits set ��� Identifying new materials and then strategically sourcing them and work in conjunction with business units and suppliers. Execute early supplier selection to support the product development cycle ��� Constantly being able to evaluate suppliers capabilities and establish sources for new technologies in new markets ��� Ultimately responsible for the supplier management process, suppler selection, supplier rating and development and supplier performance evaluation Key Skills ��� You must possess a degree in Chemistry ��� Have between 4 to 8 years' experience professional experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management ��� Skilled in all Procurement process disciplines ��� Previous experience of advanced problem-solving and decision making abilities ��� Working knowledge of specific commodities and spend categories ��� A working knowledge of E-Procurement process and systems is essential ��� Demonstrate the ability to work across cross-functional teams
