Our client is a leading dental corporate with many practices across the UK.
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join their busy team. Within this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the Category Manager with general procurement and purchasing activities relating to a substantial expenditure portfolio of goods and services within a multi-site healthcare organisation.
You will be responsible for category management within ‘clinical’ spend segments. Proactive in your approach, you will monitor and manage supplier performance and develop measures to promote continuous service improvement. As an integral part of the Procurement Team you will be analysing category/product spend, tenders and RFQs. You will contribute to the resolution of all procurement management issues and the implementation of category specific sourcing strategies. Your ultimate aim will be to deliver an efficient and effective service to the benefit of the business as a whole.
Our client’s ideal candidate will be positive, proactive and driven with the ability to build a positive team environment. CIPS Level 4 qualified or working towards this, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of procurement techniques, processes and financial regulations coupled with good project management skills. It is essential that you can work effectively alone as well as part of a team, using your own initiative whilst linking to key contacts when off site.
An excellent communicator, you will be capable of liaising at all levels within the organisation and with suppliers. The nature of this role requires a business oriented, commercial and customer focused purchasing professional with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
