Job Description: Lab Experienced BioInformatics Consultant - LIMS
Location: North West - BOLTON
Is this you?
A graduate in Biochemistry, Bioinformatics. Biology, Physicology, Pharmocology or related biological science or have proven experience as specified. You will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), be well organised, personable and able to work to deadlines under minimum supervision.
The ideal individual will thrive in a supportive and friendly working environment and will have stretch to move in to bigger roles with time.
Demonstrable understanding of typical laboratory workflows in the clinical, biotechnology, or clinical genetics sectors.

Our client is a global market leading business that provides management systems either standard or bespoke for Laboratory.
Web-based off the shelf LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) designed for a wide variety of laboratory types operating in many scientific and industrial disciplines. Our client specialise in consolidating disparate business processes into a single, compliant platform with comprehensive reporting, surveillance and networking capabilities.....
Due to expansion an opportunity exists for a high calibre graduate with Lab experience who is keen to fuel their career with a TOP Global business contender. Based out of their European Head Office in Bolton (North West) we are now seeking a LIMS BioInformatics Consultant.
What do I need?
Key skills include;
Laboratory Experience
Good working knowledge of relational database technology, SQL compliant databases especially:
Oracle or Microsoft SQL server
Experience of the following is advantageous:
Visual studio 2005
Microsoft project
Microsoft Office suites
Visio Professional
C #
Customer Training
Experience of Information Management Systems implementation and delivery is advantageous.
Demonstrable understanding of typical Laboratory workflows in the clinical, biotechnology or clinical genetics sectors.
Experience with Crystal Reports is advantageous
Familiarity with ISO9000 quality systems
Full Driving License and willing to travel (approx 5 says per month)
