Job Description:  My client is an independent healthcare company who provide support to the North London PCTs, offering Out of Hospital services, specifically specialist therapies for community rehabilitation. A post has arisen for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join the Stroke Rehabilitation Team and work as the expert across North London. The post holder will work alongside Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and others in the community, delivering and supporting the stroke rehabilitation service. The main responsibilities of the role will be to: ��� deliver a high standard of rehabilitation to the patient and to support the family and carers ��� ensure patients are appropriately assessed ��� support and lead on the development of the service ��� provide advice, guidance and training on the management of stoke patients ��� maintaining accurate patient records ��� monitor and maintain quality standards ��� manage a defined caseload ��� support the Team Leader ��� develop professional working relationships with commissioners, professionals and community colleagues ��� adhere to professional guidelines To apply for this post you will be a Senior SaLT with a recognised degree or equivalent qualification and will be HPC registered. You will be able to document and evidence your post-graduate experience as well as your post-graduate training and education. Your background will be that of a community therapist and you will have specialised knowledge in the field of stroke rehabilitation for a proportion of that time. You will need to have experience of developing policies, guidelines and writing reports and will be an excellent communicator. In addition you must have knowledge and awareness of recent NHS policies and Department of Health agenda. Full Driving Licence is essential
