Job Description: My client is seeking to employ experienced and confident RGN's to join their community-based team of medical professionals. Based from one of five locations in North London, the successful candidate will form part of a team providing acute care in the home environment. Nurses will work alongside other medical professionals such as Therapists and GP's to ensure that a high standard of care is delivered. The successful candidate will: ��� Be responsible for managing a caseload of work, whilst provided with necessary supervision ��� Assess patients and assist in making decisions relating to the level of care required ��� Continue to assess patients and liaise with the various care teams to monitor progress and response to treatments ��� Be responsible for ordering equipment that has been selected accordingly ��� Supervise HCA's and support junior members of staff To apply for this post you must be a qualified RGN with demonstrable experience of working in the community, within patients' homes. You must be able to show that you have continued your education and training, and it would be advantageous if you have obtained additional certificates or developed a specialist area such as wound management, cardio-pulmonary disease, diabetes, End of Life care, or intravenous therapy. In addition to qualification you should have the organisational skills required to manage your own caseload, whilst prioritising effectively and planning nursing care. You must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with patients, families and carers.
