Job Description: A Business Development Officer is required for an outsourced HR services company, based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The position is flexible, part-time, 20 hours per week preferably Monday to Friday. The position is initially for 12 months, offering an hourly rate of £6.25 plus commission.
Purpose of role
To implement strategies to obtain new clients for the Company. To manage all marketing activity within the South Warwickshire office. Attend networking events to build relationships with potential clients and to gain referrals.
Main Duties
• Attending networking events.
• Building effective relationships with strategic partners.
• Sales and marketing administration.
• Attending trade shows.
• Client liaison to ensure good customer support and customer retention.
• Provide administrative support when required.
• Telephone Response - To answer incoming calls and take details of advice requested. Log all advice calls on the database. Where advice falls within the realm of your knowledge and experience provide this or where necessary source appropriate advice from HR Consultant / Managing Director. Where appropriate relay advice and send e-mail draft letters and forms.
• Providing on-site support with HR practitioner if required.
• Organising free HR reviews of potential clients policies and contracts.
• Direct marketing campaigns.
• Controlling and monitoring costs.
• Maintaining the customer database.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience of working within the SME market.
- Basic understanding of HR areas of responsibility.
- A passion for working within a Business Development role.
- Must have an excellent telephone manner, interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid presentation skills.
- IT literate - Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
