Job Description: Company Background One of the UKs leading manufacturers of specialist springs, presswork and assemblies. Components are produced for customers spanning a broad spectrum of industry including aerospace, medical, electronics, oil & gas, nuclear and high-tech manufacturing. Overall Purpose To increase the profitability of the company by striving to achieve sales targets through the generation and follow up of leads, building relationships with customers and ensuring pricing is effective. Key Activities Relationship Management - Develop positive relationships with existing clients in order to maximise sales opportunities. - Acquisition of new customers through co-ordinated business development activities. - To establish co-operative working relationships with colleagues, sharing knowledge, experience and technical expertise. - Predominantly office based with some external customer contact as and when required. - Liaising with customer via the telephone, email or face2face. - Contacting material suppliers and sub contractors for quotes - Generating quotes - Contract reviewing incoming orders - Negotiating with customers & suppliers - Dealing with technical customer queries Achieving Quality - Achieves individual productivity and sales targets and proactively champion the team's objectives in order to achieve team and unit targets. - Uses a customer service approach when dealing with internal and external customers, resulting in high customer satisfaction evaluations. - Monitors and controls personal work activities, ensuring the workload is achieved to agreed deadlines and quality standards. - Takes responsibility for maintaining knowledge on company processes, procedures and databases and any supporting information Technical Capabilities Continually update product and service knowledge in order to deliver excellent customer service while maximising sales opportunities. Good verbal, written communication skills and numeracy skills
