Job Description: ESTIMATING/DESIGN ENGINEER - HEATING/PLUMBING LOCATION: LEICESTER SALARY: £20,000 - £25,000 + Pension + Health + Life Insurance + Corporate Bonus THE COMPANY My client is a leading supplier of plumbing, heating and pipe systems with key applications being Underfloor and Radiating Heating Systems. Due to growth, my client is now looking for TWO Estimating/Design Engineers to join their team in Leicester. THE ROLE Working within the Design and Estimating team your primary objective will be to produce Plumbing and Underfloor Heating designs and estimates whilst also providing technical advice on products, designs and estimates. Your role will be broken down to include providing Design and Estimating support to customers, Merchants and sales professionals. You will need to become proficient in the use of estimating, design and support software whilst also being on hand to provide on site project assistance when required. Involved in your role will be the review, development and improvement of design and estimating tools, processes, procedures and standards. In line with this will also be product reviews and development. It is important that you keep yourself aware of products, applications and industry standards, passing on new knowledge that might have an impact on my clients products and systems. You will provide assistance in making sure technical documentation is accurate including fact sheets, piping and wiring schematics etc. THE CANDIDATE In order for your application to be successful you will need to possess the following: � ONC/HNC in Design Engineering � A proven track record of designing and estimating Underfloor Heating Systems (2D/3D drawings) � A solid grounding of using CAD � Ability to provide technical support on products, designs and estimates � Exposure to software packages such as Hevacomp would be advantageous This is a fantastic opportunity with a well established organisation!
